Can anyone tell me if it is possible to configure a bluetooth headset with xlite(sipgate) or voipbuster, rather than buy a phone/headset.
Have tried with limited success, using a Jabra 100 headset.
I can usually get it to connect on voipbuster for 1 call, but then disconnects and wont work again. cannot get it to stay connected to the computer / answer calls.
Any Advice,?
Thanks

Changed from the tester settings to the actual paid username and it fails again :S
Matt' good to hear you have got it working.
When I paid €1 it ALSO stopped working. Either I din't wait long enough for their servers to register the €1 or it needs more than €1. I paid another €1 and it worked fine. I suspect I was too impatient as nobody else had mentioned it costs more than €1.
From time to time you may find their servers are down (just for a short period), don't go changing your settings.

Hi Guys,
Can anyone simplify matters for me please.
I have used Skype for some weeks without a problem. I have one of those boxes so I can use my normal cordless home phone to make and recieve skype calls, no problem.
Having come across this thread, I have now DL VoipBuster, rang my home phone, seems OK. Paid my 1 Euro, which I believe will mean Free calls to certain countries without restriction.
If I am right so far, heres the questions.
What other programmes mentioned in this thread might I need/want and why???
and
As I only have 4 people I want to communicate with using Skype most in the UK and one in OZZ, would it make sense for them all to change to VoipBuster and dump Skype altogether???
Am i right in thinking this would mean during any 2 way conversation, one would be using the computer and the other their landline, as opposed to both using the computer as with Skype??
Could I still use my box and cordless phone for outgoing calls or is it Skype specific??
Thanks in advance.

You could get Sipgate too as well as those in Oz.
Sign up for them using a UK ISP, or get them to sign up using a Uk Proxy server, this then allows them to get a UK phone number so people from standard phones can call them as is they are in the UK.
With Sipgate you can call each other free, and use VoIP Buster to call landlines.
Use Sipgate as you would use Skype for calls.
Use VoIP Buster for calls to landlines - yes the VoIP Buster user will be using PC, the person you are calling could be a landline user or may even be a SIP user - with Sipgate for example. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

Stabilo man, you're great :T . Everthing is working absolutely fine now. Making calls on voipbuster and receiving them on sipgate is great :j . The only thing I haven't tried yet (as it would probably be useless) is to see whether or not I can receive calls on my voipbuster number as well as the sipgate one. Cheeeeeers :money:Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0 -

Do you actually have a voipbuster number? When did you get the number as I believe they are not currently providing them i.e. effectively outgoing calls only.

Thanks Bex Tech for that, I am getting there slowly (;0)
I have rehistered with sipgate, have a username, pasword and phone number. Can`t seem to figure out what happens next.
I have not (as far as I know) downloaded anything, so how do you actually USE it.
Tried diealling my sipgate number from landline and just get a recorded mesage saying basically no number.
Thanks again.0 -
You need to download some software if you want to use a soft-phone.
