Redten problems

Oh Dear!!I paid for three years Broadband by cheque upfront. I saw the offer in a Computer Buyer or PCPro email newsletter.
I too had no problems with the service until it stopped completely on 10th March.
I got a MAC code from the BT wholesale holding page and used it to order BT Broadband. They did not tell me until the day it was due to be installed and delivered that the MAC code was useless.
All I want now is for Redten/NJP/Clode or anyone to aknowledge that I am owed 2 years service and either give it to me or refund 24 months at £19.99, so I can spend it elsewhere.
I have written emails and sent a fax to Clode and tried to contact Redten by phone and email. No replies except the one from Clode saying something was being sorted. Since then nothing.
Look through the other string--complain to OFCOM, and DTI as the more that complain the more that will be done.
You should not be involved with clode as you paid direct to redten and can claim your money back --do it now, go to citizens advice bureau for help as redten going under and if you dont get your money now --if they go into insolvency you wont get it.

A significant number of us have now sent recorded delivery letters of complaint to Redten, listing our grievances over breach of contract, misrepresentation and non-compliance with communications regulations. These letters have been copied to Clode Retail Finance, pointing out their joint liability and asking them to resolve our grievances. We have been forced to act in this way because of a total lack of information and massive difficulty in communicating with them by telephone (I haven't even considered e-mail as my service has become so unreliable that I have had to ask people to stop communicating with me that way).
To date I don't think a single person has received an acknowledgement from either organisation, never mind any indication that they have any intention of dealing with these issues. I have never encountered such poor customer service before in my life and I suspect that the people who are posting on this website are just the tip of a massive consumer dissatisfaction iceberg. A five minute slot on prime-time television would probably expose the scale of this fiasco and might just shame these faceless charlatans into accepting their responsibilities. At the very least it would help to warn others about their business practices so they can avoid them and spend their hard earned cash with somebody more deserving of their trade..0 -
