Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

If you are having a 40th birthday or are celebrating your 40th wedding anniversay between now and Sept 15th, Asda will give you a free £40 voucher.

You need to take to customer services either your Birth Certificate or Marriage Certificate and also Photographic evidence to prove who you are and they will give you a £40 voucher.

It's all to do with Asda celebrating 40 years.

Seeing as Im only 34 I can't claim and I've only been married since 14th July this year, I miss out .......... unless they accept a claim for 40 days marriage, hmmmmmmmm, now theres a thought ;-)

I phoned the Eastlands Store this morning (01612303500)and was advised the offer is to the 14/09 and you can win a £40 voucher. They are also doing offers of 40% off also.Unsure if they would want to be bombarded by millions of people with evidence that they are 40 etc costing the company huge amounts I would have thought. But I guess the odd prize draw and money saving is a small token of their birthday.

A friend of mine went into Asda yesterdy after work (Eastlands) with his birth certificate and got handed, there and then, one of those swipe card thingys with £40 credited to it. No prize draw or anything.

Yes there are lots of promotions coming up for 40% off, but the main one was the birthday/anniversary one that I posted. Whoever you spoke to at Eastlands either got the info wrong, or whoever handed my pal the £40 swipecard got it wrong.

However, the posters in store do NOT mention prize draw and do state that you will be given a voucher.

Now At the start of this post I said I asked if the promotion was all over the country to an assistant and was told "well, Asda is 40 all over" blah blah and took that to mean YES. Well, wouldn't you???

However, it seems some of the stores you have visited do not seem to know of this promotion and I can only assume that this guy did not know if it was a country wide promotion.

I posted the original message with best intentions for everyone, i hope I haven't messed up as I dont post very often, more a lurker, and thought this one was worth posting.

I phoned the Eastlands store again.I asked to speak to someone on the shop floor this time. The person went to see the poster and said that if you are 40
starting from the promotion date (which was Saturday 20/08/05 up to and inc
14/09/05 then you can claim £40.This will also apply if you have a wedding anniversary.(only within those dates).Proof of ID and your photo ID required.
Don't go in with your wedding or birthday photos).
This is not a competition I was advised.
Well done for starting the post anyway
