moved in my new home last friday and i felt exactly the same.( am i doing the right thing) ive never felt like it with any of my other moves. i think all the talk that prices are falling etc didn't help.

but the way i see it im aiming to stay at this house for a long time so shouldn't affect me.

the only way i wouldnt do it is if i decided i couldn't afford it.

And I'm sooooooooo glad I did. So far prices have dropped around 8% so I've saved about 20k, and that's what this forum is all about isn't it, moneysaving??

Where are you getting your 8% figure from? If it is from EAs dropping asking prices then it is meaningless as what matters is whether what is selling now is fetching the same price as equivalent property that has already sold. Land registry is not showing a fall so unless it starts doing that consistently you haven't saved anything. Another duped Express and propertysnake reader.

I was so nervous the night before I couldn't sleep - I was up most of the night double checking the place was spotless.

Still felt nervous all the next day as well - especially the few hours between our sale and completion on the new place. Didn't help when OH comes out with useful comments like 'do you realise we're technically homeless right now - what if they don't put the money through in time?:rolleyes:

It's a stressful thing to do - just have a wee drink!!!:D

I do wish that people would stop saying that I've only been to the Frozen North a couple of times and I think that if you look at my posts a little more closely you will find that I'm 8.4% funnier than Nelly.
