    Perfectly normal old thing.

    Generali's Cure For Pre-Moving Nerves.

Take one large glass in your left hand
Take one bottle of brandy in your right hand
Pour a large measure from the bottle into the glass. Replace bottle in packing trunk.
Drink glass of brandy and retire to bed.

Repeat as necessary until you fall over drunk in the hallway

I do wish that people would stop saying that I've only been to the Frozen North a couple of times and I think that if you look at my posts a little more closely you will find that I'm 8.4% funnier than Nelly. However, I would like an official supporters club, would you be my official supporters club, Doozergirl?

Damn right! I must have laughed out loud at least four times today! :D

If you'd be kind enough to pop it in your sig line, I'll PM you a list of my posts every morning, just in case you miss any and don't get the chance to thank me. I'm not going to ask for subscription at this point but I would like to reserve the right to bring the subject up again in the future.

actually what bothers me is that i have got 2 price reductions now and the new mortgage offer reflects the new purchase price of 190k but with the 5k retention. problem is, the mortgage was supposed to be valuaing the property at 195k, advancing on the basis 190k, but instead it will advance 185k leaving me 5k worse off and no time to change it before tomorrow without more underwriting.

i will have to borrow 5k to straighten the mess out (repaying a family loan) and another 5k to do the repairs. to get the 5k back. don;t you love a last minute hitch

Shut up now. It's your house. The repairs don't have to cost 5k. You'd be amazed how little the materials cost and most of it's surprisingly easy to do yourself.

Let yourself feel a little bit excited for goodness sake. Crack a bottle of bubbly. Get planning and here's wishing you all joy and happiness in your new home.
    Cheers!

Perfectly normal. In fact, I have SUCH a fear of buying a house that I can't see me ever doing it again. I lack the confidence to feel I've made the right choice!

    I know I have to buy one ... I just hope I don't !!!! up.

Good luck - and don't forget to PM us your address for the party

Can't be worse than the pre-moving nerves I had last year.... AFTER exchange...:eek::eek:... if I remember rightly, Doozergirl had to persuade me I didn't need to contact the solicitor to enquire how much it would cost us to get out of the contract to sell!:eek::eek: I cried on and off for the week before (and the week after)... all the stuff I was packing got so wet... my dh and sons seriously thought of relocating via an ark instead of a van!

    Best of luck!

Edit to add: just found a link to the thread i stared last year. It has some very lovely advice and empathy so feel free to read it and share!
