Has anyone been refused the double cotton wool cosmetic pads in the 2 for £2 offer-They were priced at £2.39 each but with the sign saying £2 for 2.The sa refused to accept this and said that would be ridiculous and charged me for each pack also wouldn't accept the bourjois voucher for nail polish so had to pay £7.38 cash.Felt like leaving the items but there was a big queue and I had gone downstairs to pay so had to pay up.
You really feel it would be advantageous if Boots checked that their staff can actually read before employing them, no?
I'd have held the queue up ad infinitum for that one while a manager was called, actually. That's ridiculous behaviour from a SA.Val.0 -
Had a trip to Bolton today and 'nipped' into both Boots there. Nothing in smaller one but managed to get the smaller of the Ted Baker clutch bags reduced to £1.88 each. The larger clutch was still full price and the 3 compartment one was £6 (but got this one in Preston last week for 4.25). Also picked up a couple of the No.7 trinket box thingies for 50p each in clearance.
Got the Med soap at last (I thought) - got 2 and took to till - handed over my voucher - was notified expired on 31.03
Has anyone seen the £5 Ruby and Millie compacts anywhere that are on dot com? Can't see them anywhere - was wondering if just on-line. This one http://www.boots.com/shop/product_enlarge.jsp?productid=1074140&classificationid=1044335&slmRefer=000&imageid=10 -

Hi Cheekymonkey, is there a picture of the No7 trinket boxes anywhere please? TIA X
Sorry can't find an image of them - they are from around Xmas time I think - they have a little silver chunky bit that opens and three oblong inserts to choose from to insert in it - they are a fragrance a lipgloss and a highlighter - then has a dangly star (like you put on your mobile phone).
Remember seeing an image on the Boots thread possibly a couple of months ago!

There are loads of the trinket boxes at Newbury Retail Park - can't remember what price they are though.
Finally got the TB bags - one for £3.13 and one for £2.25 (paid with points just earnt)
Loads of stay dry trial packs up there - got one with main shop and then went to the pharmacy to get a prescription and picked up another and some paracetemol and paid 65p with 200 pts earnt
The PC pts voucher for frames works with the magnetic frames for about £1.39 but the ACM one doesn't grrr. Oh well still got back more points than spent on that one0 -
Plus five boxes of Aria One-a-Day Soya Isaflavenes + vitamin supplements (for the menopause)from Clearance at £1 per box, coded till 2010...when I went up to Pharmacy the SA told me cheerfully they had been reduced in error, really they should have been £20 per box. She was quite happy to give me them for £1 each though. I felt them doing me good immediately!
 what a bargin hun well done:T
Also my little princess had a happy ten minutes fiddling around with the No17 testers. I stopped her immediately though when I caught her drifting over to the Arden counter...the Arden lady was round like a shot and I thought oh-oh (even though Princess hadn't touched anything) but in fact she was lovely. Princess told her the whole story of the nits (as one does when you're six) and the Arden lady gave her a lipstick sample pallette to cheer her up, lol! And she gave me one too! So definate thumbs up to the Arden lady, and kudos to my daughter...she's obviously a chip off the old block when it comes to blagging samples.
oh bless herand what a lovely SA. You had a great shop :T

Val - about the nit problem (I'm itching all over now), my sister is an expert on this as her three girls with their lovely, long hair have all had visitors from time to time. She swears by the basic nit comb and lots of conditioner. Also, she says the electric nit comb is good for getting rid of any lurkers - I can't find it on .com but it electrocutes the little fellas (battery-powered). And teatree shampoo/conditioner to discourage them in the first place, this one is nice:
My two boys (with very short hair) have never had them but the first time I checked Jack's hair for them, he was really disappointed that I didn't find anything!!0
