it could be his anal glands..my dogs suffer with them..if his poo is " loose" then the glands dont always get squeezed and emptied so they block, and can get infected..doesnt cost much at my vets £14 consult is all it takes normally as they will squeeze his glands..they dont like it much tho! and it stinks to put it bluntly! may give you anti bio if infection there.TO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0

no he is laying next to me asleep quite happy.
i have pet insurance and i take pet ownership very seriously but as with my children i dont over react to every little thing and rush off to the doctors.
i have taken advise from the vet and am taking him in at 5pm.
i came on here for advise as to what it could be and i thank those who offered that. those who only came on to critise - get a life.0 -

the vet thinks its most likely to be the anal glands which he did have done about two months ago and could have refilled by now.
as there is a risk of impaction i will hopefully get this sorted at 5pm.
thank you kindly for your concern.0 -
My dog had to have her anal glands removed as they filled up too often. It was a costly procedure, but the insurance paid for it directly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
