Welcome Digger - I too am a lady, but I guess that's obvious. I'm a Ska-ter by the way. You don't however, tell us if you are male or female. Hope you enjoy our natter sessions.

Thanks Tanith, Your arthritis is more advanced than mine. My neighbour has two new hips and she loves them. I agree with the wrist, thumb business. Just shelled out £20 to buy a jar opener at Lakeland. Bottle tops are getting to be a real hassle. As for the knees, its the weight that is the big problem there. I take bucket fulls of cod liver oil and that helps. My doctor has recently put me on 6 Omega 3 capsules per day which is to get the Cholesterol sorted. They seem to help. Will PM you with more ideas.

You're not suggesting anything, are you Francophile?

Droopsnout is not a memeber of the SKI-ers club! (Although I think he has been invited!).

Hi SDW, firstly I wish you lots of fun with your house swap. Forgot to ask if you have ever done this before? Look forward to hearing all about it. You are right, Droopsnout is not a member of 'our' club. He is a bit of a homebody at heart. Bon Voyage. MW

Thankyou MW, yes we have done three houseswaps before, but only for long weekends and all in Andalucia - one in Cordoba centre (absolutely stunning), one in Granada Albaizin (terrific), one in a village just outside Granada (acceptable).

This is the first we have done in the UK and for such a long time!!
