Ski_ers are those people Spending their Kids Inheritance. I can't remember exactly what skaters are but I'm sure someone else will come along soon and explain. DH is dear husband. OH as you have rightly worked out is Other Half. DD is Darling daughter and DS is darling son. MIL is Mother in Law and so on and so forth. You'll get the hang eventually.Member #7 SKI-ers Club

SKI = Spending Kids' Inheritance. So SKI-ers are doing just that!
SKA-ters are people without kids who are also enjoying their money and it stands for Spending Kash And Thoroughly Enjoying Results.
Do you want to join us? I think the next number is 11!
As for ther others D can stand for dear, darling, damn, daft, or anything else appropriate before H, husband, S son, D daughter, DIL daugher in law, SIL, BIL brother in law, etc This link may help more.

Hi SKI-ers club, I'm 53 married for 31 years have 4 Daughters all currently unmarried although 3 are engaged ranging from 29 down to 22. Have just taken voluntary early retirement and am desperately trying to hide/spend my lump sum from the kids before they arrange to spend it for us. I am currently trying to convince the OH to invest in a motorhome so that we can take off but in the meantime looking forward to an imminent coach trip to france. Glad to join you all and look forward to being a member

Welcome to the gang Steveky - didn't mean to be abrupt earlier on but I was in a hurry and was lazy. FYI I am a SKA-ter. I would have loved a motorhome but my husband was not very adventurous. Go for it before those weddings start arriving.member # 12 of Skaters Club
