When is the actual race? What is the latest time I can leave a bet then?0

Horses can and will withdraw at any point before the day of the race and you won't get your money back if they do!
I read somewhere on Betfair that this particular market would close at 10am Saturday. Can't bring the info back up because the market is suspended. So if I miss the 10am deadline, is there another market? Thanks for your help!0 -

thanks all - will bet saturday morning.....i know its long odds but i want to bet on vodka bleu and cloudy lane, comply or die, mckelvey and idle talk - what are my odds?

Just registered and put in my £25. Gone to Grand National and it shows up as "SUSPENDED" so I can't place my bets. Does it do this to vet you firstly or what is the problem?
Also, If and when I can bet, is it better to wait until Friday/Saturday to make sure don't pick non-runners? Do you still get the £25 back after the race?0 -

I know its seems confusing!
This market is the 'ante-post' market and has been open for nearly a year. It is for those people who like to get a bet on early in the hope of takin a risk and getting a bigger price. However, if your horse doesn't race - you lose your money.
There will be another Grand National Market open on Saturday morning that will stay open until the start of the race when it turns 'in-running' (Which means you can even bet whilst the race is being run - lets not go there)
If you bet on thise new market which is availble on Saturday and your horse withdraws at the last moment - you will get your money back!0
