Yeh, probabaly! If I have lost £25.00 I will be annoyed.
BTW: For those using a credit card, deposit £25.40 and you will not be below £25 charge post credit card fee.0 -
I just found this
"The final declarations will be made on Thursday morning when 49 of the 99 will be balloted out of the race."
so perhaps the ballot is taking place now and the horses are being selected?pinkpinkfizz

Market is probably suspended because we are at the 48 hour declaration stage. This is the point at which we find out which horses are still likely to be running. Remember, the race can only run with a maximum of 40 runners.
some horses don't 'make the weight'. The Grand National is a handicap which means that the best horse in the race carries more weight than anyone else. Effectively they start with that horse and count backwards down to the 40 next best horses. Anything below that doesn't get in!
The market will be unsuspended later - honest!0 -
And I'm one of the ones who think this shouldn,t be in the email.
How on earth do you think gambling addictions start!!!!!
A few of you on here will win from this deal and it just might be the start of something....
THIS IS WRONG TO BE ON HERE!!!!!!!Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0 -
The favorite is Cloudy Lane apparently. Maybe go for that.
So, whilst waiting, might try and work out the way to get the best chance of winning something.0 -
I dont think it is bad posting this as if you follow it you have made a £5er. What is the harm in that.
Grand National is called the housewives flutter for a reason. I know that I wont get addicted, I dont know what I am doing!0 -

Can anyone help with picking a horse... what to do you for more so... the odds ? The weight ? I have no idea what the odds mean either hmmm
To be honest - pick out a name you like!
I've bet on horses for years - my wife probably has as much success using the method above whenever we go to the races.
The odds on betfair are represented as a decimal. For example if you put £10 on a horse whos odds are showing as 10.5, then you would win 9.5 x your stake + your stake back - £95 + 10 = £105
£5 on a horse at 28 would be £5 x 27 = £135 + £5 stake = £1400 -
I think I might just look at the top 5 favorites and place a fiver each on them to win. Then that way hopefully it should come to something.
With 40 runners max, £25 / 40 would not go very far. Even if an outsider ran.
I have no knowledge about horses as you can tell. I am looking at this mathematically, or trying. I might see what Tote etc are offering in odds then go with their highest.0
