  • So come on any tipsters out there.
What horses are you all betting on? I use the same approach to betting as I do to wine buying if the label looks good I'll give it a go. Not very scientific and currently I live in a cardboard box under a bridge so not that reliable!
    Good luck everyone

I have done everything so far right and will leave actually betting until sat morn but when i click to back a horse (blue boxes) it's letting me pick my own odds? and then stake what should i put in the odd box? should i leave it as is or am i doing something wrong? i only want to put on basic bets for that horse to win.

Dont worry just watched the tutorial i like this!

Can anyone tell me if i leave placing bets until sat morn are the odds likley to be lower than what they are coming up with right now? and is there a chance that the market could be suspended just before the race? don't want to miss out on the bets but also don't want to doit too early, thanks

the bets will be there until right up until the off - they might change depending on how likely the horse is to win. I would advise everyone to wait until Saturday before betting - you might have more chance of your horse actually running for a start.

There is a chance that if you queue for odds (ie do not take the ones that appear automatically when you click the blue box) then if the market suspends - for example if a non runner is declared, your bet will be cancelled and you will have to place it again.

Help. I have deposited £25 on visa-it takes about 33p credit card charge.Does that mean I therefore have not deposited the £25 required?
Tried to transfer another £10 to be sure, but the site is playing up-it won't let me.

There was an earlier post on the thread that mentioned this and said to do a deposit of £25.40 as - like you've found - you'll be forced to make another £10 minimum deposit to take it over £25 once the credit card charge is deducted.

With regard to which column to put bets in, again this has been discussed earlier in the thread. I would recommend having a read of stanleyunwins posts which I found informative.

i placed £5 on cloudy lane but its taken £30 from my balance.

whats the difference between the blue and pink? pink seems to have better odds. Anyone know?

dont use the pink boxes unless you know what you are doing.

Pink means that you are betting that it won't happen. I.e. if cloudy lane does win then YOU PAY OUT at the odds specified in the pink box. If cloudy land doesn't win then you keep the £5
