They'll be extremely busy and customer service will probably be stretched. I'm sure you'll get your refund and I'd be patient before I start emailing them.

As for why, if you're especially interested, see the Betfair forum service announcement regarding "Settlement of Grand National Win Market" and then see the furore it's caused in their Horse Racing forum.

I should stress this is not an issue that anyone on here needs to be concerned about, but it will affect a lot of long term Betfair customers who wager significant amounts of money and who will have cause to be contacting customer services.

They are probably entitled to expect priority over new customers who are just worrying about their £25 sign-up bonus and never intend to place another bet!

I had a small win today and also went through Quidco. Thanks for this. Good fun but I am not hooked on betting only money saving.

Thanks Jessi. I will leave it a week or so, both Betfair and Quidco are going to be snowed under I would imagine.

Just had an email from Paypal, Betfair have put the £25 back in my account. No winnings for me today, but I am more than happy with what I got.

No sign of the £25 for me and the horse I bet on had to be slaughtered. Hope the rest of you do better than I did.
Not impressed with Betfair at all, they even managed to mess up my account. Fortunately I also had a bet on with Paddy Power and ended up breaking even.
