Can I be dead nosy and ask how much it cost you Stingyloo?
Cheers,

Well I would probably have got it cheaper had I shopped around, but I had a £100 Debenhams to use up, as I wouldn't have bought one otherwise (so bear in mind it's probably more expensive). I paid £90 reduced from £100 ... I think people had it for cheaper on this forum, so maybe it's worth looking at other posts on this thread and other linked threads.0

If you use and enjoy yours half as much as I do mine you'll be beaming!!0 -
Thanks -- it's now got its place on the worktop, and I have ordered the flour and bits to be delivered tomorrow afternoon with the main shop... Going to try the normal bread and then the milk bread, and then will see how I get on with it.0

Has anyone got the morphy richards compact breadmaker?
It makes nice 1lb and 1.5lb loaves, however I have found that when I make a loaf it doesn't rise all the way up still leaving space in the pan. Do you think I could try a 2lb loaf in it? has anyone done this?0 -

I've never frozen it, but I know lots of people do with no problems.0 -
Bit the bullet earlier and just ordered my Panny from Amazon. I'm probably the most excited I've been in ages which I don't know if os a bit sad or not!
Cheers for your help and advice,

Well I did my first medium loaf last night -- took 4 hours for the whole thing (didn't think I would skip to the quick bake option just yet), tasted really nice, with a nice thin crust. Had a jammy toast with a hot chocolate last night in front of casualty it tasted really lovely !
just a question - do you have a technique to cut thin straight slices (mine go all wonky) and also how do you keep your bread when not eating it? Mine was just in a bowl with some foil over it but it took a bit of the damp from the kitchen... should I wrap the foil all round?0 -
I got my Panasonic SD255 for Christmas, decided to get it after reading the reviews on here.
Been going mad with it last week experimenting! Made sweet wheaten bread which has proved very popular with the family, and last night I made a chocolate loaf using cocoa powder in the mix and choc chips in the dispenser! The smell of it cooking was mouth watering!
Planning to do another chocolate loaf soon using demarara sugar instead of caster, and mars planets in the dispenser! Out goes the new year diet! lol.
The bread from the machine is so light and fluffy, especially with the light crust selected. I'm totally hooked! :T0
