    Morning every1

Today is my official day of living the OS way of life and I am so excited, I hardly slept last night thinking of the domestic goddess I am going to become :rotfl: :rotfl:

Firstly today I have to get the WM on as I am having a new boiler/fire fitted tomorrow so I wont have any heating for 2 days so got to get all washing washed and dried on the radiators whilst I have the chance.

Last night I sat and wrote down a complete list of the contents of my cupboards/freezer and suprised myself by having enough food for 14 days :T Just need a few essentials which I am going to walk to the supermarket to get today instead of taking the car.

Dinner tonight shall be Carbonara with warm crusty bread...All homemade of course..Well apart from the bread (Must invest in a breadmaker)
Hope everyone has a great day :)

Not been round for a few days. Had a busy & productive wk end for a change. Hope everyone is well.

Nothing much to report. Still doing the usual, work, washing, etc....
Went through a lot of keep sake boxes Ive got stored in the loft. DD thought It was great to go through my "old" things!

catowen - Ive had my pack of laminate flooring since last summer from freecycle. Im still waiting for OH to put it down! I bet you beat me to it!!!!
moiliere - if your old monitor is flat screen, then yes - freecycle it. If its the big & bulky type, then dont bother, (you could try I guess) but mine never had any interest!
Pen pen - hugs to your friend, sorry for her loss!
Donny-gal - I only respond to Offer ads if they say would suit car booter, otherwise, I dont bother, unless I need it! But yes - I can see where your'e coming from!

Anyway, time's ticking on, best be off & prep my pack up! Cottage cheese &pineapple!

    Bye for now
    Love Emma xxx

  • Good Morning everyone

Its dull and the ground is all wet here today. So i am hanging my washing in the garage to dry,,, Just incase.

Dads coming round, weather permitting to start some building work and fitting a new DG door and window on the porch at the front of the house. My current door opens outwards and i want it coming into the porch,Which means he has to swap the door and window positions around. Abit of faffing around but well worth it in the end i think ? :) Going to be feeding my dad HM bread, cakes and biscuits over the next week or so . Shame mum will moan at me, as she never thinks to make much ,from scratch ;)

Hope you have a great 1st day at work Jet

((Hugs)) To everyone who needs a hugs or just wants one today

Right off to read the thread properly and catch up :)
    Have a great day everyone

    Morning all

Damp and miserable here this morning and no one wanted to get up - roll on the holidays!

Had a really productive day yesterday, cleaned the oven, washed all the hard floors, cleaned all the kitchen cupboards out, did a new freezer inventory and did all the ironing (I even ironed all the damp stuff as it came out the washing machine and hung it in the airing cupboard so it's all gone away this morning). Changed the beds and remade them. Made a huge vat of beef and veg soup from oddments in the freezer (will have that tonight) and a big pasta bake which fed us all plus lunch for DH and I today :j

This morning..........ermmmm apart from the DW to empty when it's finished and the WM to empty when done....I've got nothing to do :T So I officially declare Tuesday to be "my day" I think it may be a case of sit on the sofa and watch a dvd whilst doing some knitting, followed by a bit of baking.

Hope you all have a fab day.

Good Morning All. Rain here too, so TD on already. Enjoyed walking round the new Grand Arcade Mall in Cambridge yesterday - still loads of hoardings where shops have yet to move in, but already a big improvement. Didn't spend anything in John Lewis, but had a lovely time looking! Will probably be back later in week to get Peter Rabbit fabric for new curtains in smallest bedroom, ready for DGD.
Did buy new food processor (Tesco Direct!) - and despite all warnings about how sharp the blades were, managed to cut my fingers when washing and drying them!
Jet - hope you really enjoy the new job. Essexgirl, hope your OH gets on OK at the hospital. Aussie - your piccies are dreadful!!! N9eav - gulp! That was an expensive day - and let us know if you do do anything about the wind-turbines. Something has to be done about the price of oil - it's crazy!((HUGS)) to all in need and congratulations to those celebrating, or getting ready to go on hoilday.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
