Dear Claire 2305
There was also an offer in the Metro and Daily Mail, for a free 5 month trial of a complete security suite, see https://www.keygoldsecure.com/checkout1.asp?act=free. This includes anti-virus and a lot more, inclujding firewall and anti-spyware.If you download it you type in "metro" as the codeword for the offer. It has high specs but I have no personal experience of it and you would have to uninstall your current security measures; and at the end of the 5 month trial they would nag you to buy the paid version0 -
I think you'll find the Toshiba A210- 1AZ hard to beat, its got better spec than the L40-15D mentioned above, Its dual core with 120Gb hard drive, maximum memory upto 4Gb(1Gb fitted) and Vista Premium. It works out to about £280(Quidco £14, Toshiba £50 cashback).

I think you may struggle to get this now, I got the last one in stock from microwarehouse a few days ago. It was also in stock at BT and I kept leaving it and then couldn't find one.
I need to buy a second laptop so any new offers around the £300 mark would be appreciated.
Also I need to get some more memory for the Toshiba, can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks for all the help on this thread, especially to Boatman who put up with my endless questions :beer:0 -

So I don't need to take the one already in there out and buy a 'matching' pair? Don't really know what i'm talking about, just picked it up from other threads
Laptop looks good, it is DD2 birthday next Sunday so have not looked at it too much yet, just made sure it will connect to our wireless network (which wasn't as easy as they made it seem!)0 -
