Today has been like wading thro treacle and it has taken me the best part of the day to do some paperwork re the job issue.
Good: Free carton of grape juice from Granny.
Better: Lovely long walk again today with H2B, who is all masterful now he's the main breadwinner.
Best: DS is lying on the sofa and giggling and giggling. Mind you he's reading about people being struck by lightning and having their shoes vapourised off their feet.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

tell DS about a women i work with - she was telling me a story the other day about when she was working alone in a lab in the 70's, a vat of acid got spilt down her - she was fine, except her cotton lab coat, trousers, shoes and knickers dissolved instantly (apart from the knicker elastic at the top) and she had to run up the stairs to the showers with an empty fertiliser bag tied round her, past a big crowd of people waiting to get into a lecture, and they all shouted 'streaker!'
then her workmates heard what had happened and rushed into her lab, all that was left was the plastic inards of her shoes and it looked like she had melted...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
