New worcester 37 cdi - HELP SET MY MIND AT EASE!

Hi wonder kids, just had my first combi(above) put in my attic. It's only been 2 days and I don't know if it is it settling or chemicals floating about but are they quite noisy!?
Been in the loft the actual boiler is quote noisy especially the gas pipe gurgling but what's more annoying is the rads hissing with the water wooshing about and also hear it in all the pipes really all over the house so matter what room I'm in I know the heating is on!
Last night I even had 2 rads bubbling so I put them down(thermostats at 3) and I went away.
Please tell me this is normal!????

Well since none of the pro's have answered yet, I'll hazard a guess that maybe you have air in your system that is causing it to be noisy.
I have a Greenstar 35i and I do hear the radiators, they're not quiet....I know when they are on. The noise is worse if the tvr is between numbers...but a small turn is all that's needed to quieten them a bit. This is not a totally silent form of heating though. You do hear the water travelling or heating up.
Have you tried bleeding the air in the rads yet? I remember being told it could take up to 2 weeks for the system to settle down and all the air to work its way out.
If after a short settling in period you are still not comfortable that all is as it should be, give the installer a call. Any decent company will either put your mind at rest or fix anything that's not right.Herman - MP for all!

It should all be pretty much silent except for expansion and contraction noises.
As the previous poster said, it sounds like air in the system. Constant bleeding and re-pressurising are needed - it can take some time for all the air to find its way out.0 -

Do you think that would be L.P.G.?

It's s normal gas boiler!?0

Gurgling noise sounds like it could be the condensate trap being full, have a look at the white pipe coming from the boiler and make sure it has a fall all the way out to the gutter, other than that it could be blocked, but if that was the case you would get a fault code on boiler and it would stop working.0

I have just had a combi boiler installed. I spent days bleeding the radiators and re-pressurising the boiler, before I found that they had unscrewed thenut to the spare room radiator to top up the inhibiting fluid and forgot to tighten it. So it was leaking. The carpet was soaked. Got it tightened, bled all the radiators, repressurised the boiler and bingo, no mote problems.
So check for leaks in all the radiators, keep bleeding the radiators and re-pressurising the boiler. If it doesn't settle soon, get the installers back to check it.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
cheers all! got them checking it tomorrow but maybe I'm just not used to combi's! having it in the loft maybe wasn't a good idea as well!0

I have the exact same boiler and it's pretty much silent.0

Had my installer back and they checked the system over and bled it all again and said it is all working as it should. It is boiling anyway!
It's just a few hours later all the rad seems to hiss and the boiler sounds like a plane engine!?????
The settings on the boiler are 3.5 for heating and E for water I think. All rads at 3.
Do I get worcester in if I get no where with my installer and just pay the price!? If they say it's fine and it is happening later on at night what do I do!?
This is my first combi mind but I didn't think it was this loud!0 -
This doesn't sound right at all. Either there's a leak somewhere or (is it possible?) the design layout isn't right. I'll wait for the pro's to come back on here and see what they think.A house isn't a home without a cat.

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
