Phone call from My Child

Got a missed call from them (02077136790), so googled the number and it brought me here. The strange thing is, I don't normally enter the parenting website comps as I don't have kids! Maybe I entered something on their website and just forgot, but it's very odd. Oh well, they got my answerphone so I don't have to deal with it!

I just got a call at 6.30pm - weird time for a company to call if I had won a comp. She said that she will call me tomorrow as I was busy...wont be answering the call now, thanks to the info on here!

My Child have taken a second payment of £80 out of my bank and promised to refund it - but no joy. have had to cancel my card and now left with a 42 mile round trip to get to the bank for money.

A new contact number supplied by my bank is 08452591418 which got answered quickly yesterday but no joy today. Have emailed them and if no reply will contact Watchdog today.

Good luck with the number, I chose new subscriptions when I called.

When I clicked send on one of their competitions it said waiting for www.ipledgegroup.co.uk so I googled ipledgegroup and phoned one of the magazines that had a post advertising my child in their forums, explained about the comments on this site and other and they are removing the link and will have no more My Child links on their site.

OH took a call from these people last night (at 7.30!) on 0207 430 9440.

Wonder if they are doing the rounds again, or if I've entered one of their comps by accident?

just got a phone call from mychild telling me i was in the final 20 for a competition I'm supposed to have entered two weeks ago. (Most definately didn't!) Just thought I'd warn you they are doing the rounds of phoning people. I told the guy that I'd been prewarned by numerous posts online about the company these calls and I would not be too happy if they called again. But we'll see what happens when they call again next week no doubt!

Got a call this morning. A soon as I heard '...you entered a competition with Mychild...' (which I of course haven't) I said I wanted my details removed. We shall see though!

I had a call recently but sent them packing. However, they've called twice since then when I was out but OH was in... The first time he was polite but firm. The second time he told them that if they called this number again he would not be polite, in fact he'd throw a fit and (quote) "when I go, I effing go. Thank you and goodbye".:o
