does anyone have a water meter? has it worked out cheaper? how many people are in your family? erm....think that's questioning over, thankyou xx
We have a water meter (house was brand new so no choice) when there where the four of us we paid £18/month over 12 months. I reckon it is loads cheaper than rates. If you have a huge garden that you water a lot or a swimming pool or wash the car loads with a pressure washer then it might be worth staying on rates but IMO the vast majority or people would be cheaper on a meter. In our area (Severn Trent) you can go on a meter and revert back to rates within a year if you want to. My guess is that when you move the new people would have to be on the meter.
Morning all
Just catching up on yesterday afternoon/evening! Hugs for tia, men BIGGEST kids of the lot! I should print your rant out and stick it right under his nose and tell you dobbed him to us allOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Morning everyone.
We are all poopered in our house this morning - no idea whyas it is just the same old same old. I guess i was pretty late getting back from mum's yesterday as it was after 8, and i am also really achey around my knees and back, so will try to limit my bending down today and make sure i have a lie down this afternoon. Window cleaners should be around this morning, so any time after that.
jill glad my list is bringing back memories for you. At least there isn't too much to buy this time. People ask me what i need, and i have to say, there is not really a lot.
Nicki DD's room is coming along nicely, and it looks like you are almost there.
sorry to hear so many of us are feeling the pinch - everything is so pricey though isn't it. I just had to get petrol, and it cost me £38 to fill up, and i only have a small car. It cost DH £80 yesterday to fill up his. At least once DS finishes at nursery the cost of running my car will drop at least. The last time i filled up was 10/03, so i don't do too bad really.
Anyway, list, and please can i have my fair share of the nice weather to get some clothes dry too. I also have 2 linen baskets from hell, and i really need to get on top of it before the baby or i will have no chance of managing.

I usually end up shopping with OH, who is tactfull and rarely says something looks bad, trouble is I then get things home, hate them and have to make a trip to return them.
I would like a dress, but, I always wear jeans so don't have confidence to bare my legs etc. Also dont want to spend large amount, currently browsing on Debenhams site, that is expensive.
What budget do you have? If you are a vase then you should have great legs. Show them off!! What colours do you like wearing and what colour are your hair, eyes and skin tone? I will have a browse. I love spending other peoples money0 -
Morning
Nicki DD's room is looking fab! well done you :T
Got my Christmas shopping head on this week, I know it's only April but I've usually got tons in by now but haven't, so I'm on the lookout for bargains, got a few bits at HB the other day and I'm off to woolies at some point to get Ice Age 1&2 (£8) for teenie - he'll be 16 by xmas but he wants ithe wanted it last year but funds wouldn't allow.
There's also a fab radio in Aldi this week that's under unit mountable, so gonna bag me that and put it away in my 'to use when my house becomes posh' box.... I tell ya it's like starting all over again, I've never had anything really so I'm buying stuff I want/need that I've never had lol I've got a basic house with hardly anything in it so I'm on the prowl for nice/quality stuff at a bargain price IYKWIM.
Soz, I rambled on there. Done my dailies so just killing time before I go to work at 1pm.
Tia I don't know how you haven't done time, I'd have swung for him by now, hope you get better super quick x oh and thanks for the 'get money' vibe (it was you wasn't it) £22.50 has gone into my account today from absolutely nowhere I could think of YAY!0 -
We love it when we go out ona weekend deciding what group the people belong in.. we had a whole fruit bowl on a few occasions.. apples, pears, bananas, grapes (tiny fat people!!) even a few pumpkins and melons!!
It keeps us entertained!
We are all pears in my family..
Bananas? Thats a new one on meWe had a good laugh at work one day deciding what shape we all were as per T & S. Whats the difference between an apple, a pumpkin and a melon? :rotfl:
