Whew - just caught up after my flying. ((Hugs)) Soapie, that's sad news.

Well I've been whirling around this evening - makes a real difference not having OH at home!!!

    [STRIKE]Do dishes
    Do rubbish/recycling for the week
    Clear cupboard of shame
Clean cupboard top of shame/cupboard of shame
Line top of cupboard and put stuff away (sorting it out)
    Clear other cupboard top
    Wipe gicky parts of fridge
    Wipe window frame
Wipe small appliances inc inside of microwave
Wipe cupboards, appliances and manky corners
    Sweep the floor
    Clean window sill
    Clean surfaces
    Clean Hob
    [/STRIKE]Treat pets for worms
    Make tea
    Make cat tea
    Do dailies for work etc
    collapse

Not much left to do then! The top of the cupboard of shame was absolutely disgusting - it was black with filth, but now is clean and white. Sorted and cleaned the inside of the cupboard too - it's looking much better.

I also got home late because a colleague and I went running after work - I' still stunned we managed it (for 15 mins). We're going again tomorrow as well. Got to get training for the race for life in May...

Jill.. mine were always up for supper as well.. some had a weetabix before bed, other had porridge or sometimes I was dead naughty and stuffed a rusk in the bottle.. especially for DS3 who didn't eat food until he was over 2.5 .. I would put loads of stuff in his bottles.. lol.. it was like stew in a bottle! .. obviously he was never left unattended when feeding so it didn't really matter... and he choked on everything anyway.
In the USA its normal to put stuff in a bottle to help them go through. Why is it so taboo over here ???
Yeah, you see in our house tea is late = its literally tea, bath, bed with no gap. Sometimes no time for bath. Maybe I should bring tea forward and see if she then takes more at bedtime ???
Did you take them back downstairs to the highchair for supper or what ? Dont they just get filthy all over again ??

Thanks for the hugs ladies - they were much needed. I have now regained my equilibrium. The lad died doing what he wanted to - serve his Queen and country - and we should be grateful for what he did achieve in his short life. I am holding that thought.....

Right. Stir fry has been done and eaten (chicken with noodles, spring onions, peppers and cashew nuts). I really must go and finish packing those ebay parcels.

    Life goes on.

I never bathed mine very often anyway.. it made their skin really dry and nasty if they were bathed too often.. plus the more I had the less time I had..

Once they were onto 3 meals.. I would shift them about so they weren't eating at the same time as me.. I'd feed them theirs while cooking mine (they had yesterdays leftovers!!) They always seem to thinkt he second foo dis in the oven it should be on their plate so this way worked for us.. They would usually sit and play or have a nap then while I ate and got the others off to bed.. when they woke they'd have their jimmies on, then depending on which child.. supper and boob until they went to sleep or a bottle with extras. If they got it anywhere they were wiped over with a flannel.. and a bib protected the jimmies.

They say you shouldn't give them stuff in bottles because of the risk of choking which if you are watching them, or holding the bottle yourself it won't be a problem!!

DD1 used to be fed 2 weetabix at 2am!!!!!!!!!!

Evening ALl. Well all the children are in bed including my niece but she say as she has a stomach ache because she is so excited.

just the last pieces to put ion the suitcase I think!! Then I need to decide if it is worth going to sleep for a couple of hours.

Haven't caught up on the thread since this morning tried but my eyes aren't working at the mo

Have done no flying really apart from trying to make the place look less like a pigsty (sorry pigpen) for my return. Each time I go away I have such good intentions but things tend to go slightly wrong.

Think I may get DH to make a nice cuppa. Anyone else want him to make one. Or I could get him to pour you a glass of wine?

JillD - hugs on the lack of sleep. I breast fed both of my two and they never had a bottle - they wouldn't take it. So, they both went straight on to a feeder cup. Have you tried that rather than a bottle?
    Hi soappie
I'm currently trying to get her to take water from a Tommy Tippee beaker but she is carp at it!! It just sort of drips in her mouththen she klets it all fall out the side. Hopeless. Maybe I should try a different type.
Hopefully tonight she will be better, as I said above she has amazingly taken two bottles today and more amazingy, one was from me.

Jill.. mine couldn't do beakers until they were about 2!! They couldn't coordinate the tip, drink, swallow thing and it dribbled everywhere.. and 3 of them couldn't suck the anywayup ones hard enough ever.. yet DD1 took a beaker at 6 months without any issue

Wow Nicki, thats really impressive! What a wee genius :D

Yes, but a nightmare to entertain at times! She's so old I sometimes wonder who's the mother :rotfl::rotfl:

Still haven't done the finances, BUT I got an email from Toluna (is that right? ) with a £5 Amazon voucher I ordered - currently trying to find something I WANT to make up the £15 for free delivery ;) Going to buy DD a locket for her birthday and let her pick a picture to print out to put in it :D Just struggling to convince myself that I need anything else on the site.... :rotfl:
