I'm hoping that as DS will be 16 in July he might be able to get FT work over the hols with either his Grandad or the marquee firm he works for (Grandad is self employed) as they're likely to have loads of work over the summer, I think my dads already got him lined up to help at the Sandringham flower show. I think I'd rather he did that in the hols than a few regular hours each week as it wont interfere with study too much ?!!?
Well no-one did any washing for me today so I'm going to empty the TD and reload that and the WM and see if I can DD to reload the DW then I think a S/S of the kitchen then an early night for me, and I mean by 10 tonight as I'm shattered.
And I really am going this time
Night'all

Jill - My friends baby is 10 months and still waking twice! H.V. suggested increasing the calorie content of his means - e.g. adding cream to custard, rice puddings, cheese sauces, etc. She may be getting enough quantity of food but not enough quality (calorie-wise). Also, mine always had an afternoon bottle at 2.30pm - only about 5oz so they would still eat tea and also try morning snack too. Its a bit of trial and error I think. DD1 always took last bottle no probs but DD2 would only take a couple of ounces so we started getting her up for her last feed at 11pm, giving her 2oz, then letting her had 1/2 hour kick on playmat, then give her another 3oz which she'd take after a little play. Then she'd sleep through. Could also try giving her supper just before bed after her last bottle - maybe a bit of ready brek. She may just go right through then. Good Luck!
Hi Luby
Thanks so much for your reply. I will definitely try and make sure her meals are calorie loaded, she is tiny so a few more calories wont hurt anyway. I really struggle with her at bedtime at all, like tonight she conked out at 7.30pm without a last feed so I had to wake her at 8pm (these light nights are confusing me) to give her a breastfeed. She did take 2 bottles today which was amazing so it will be really interesting to see what happens tonight. I'm hopeful that an extra feed in the day might just tip the balance so I just need to keep tweaking the feedtimes to squeeze it in I think, in the afternoon like you suggest.
