Daughter and friends travelled from Edinburgh to Glasgow yesterday for BGT and were also turned away with about 100+ others.
they ended up going to Primark instead!
I never knew they would over subscribe it by so much.
I complained to ITV about the abuse i got but they just told me to go to the applause store to complain!
Never doing this again as we were very dissapointed.would love to win an ipad!

I had manchester tickets for BGT - got there, was told it was full and that i couldn't go in. about 200+ people were turned away! we were so so upset and dissapointed! When they issue tickets they should tick off how many have gone and stop giving them out after they are full. They were no help when we phoned, just basically told us tough, tickets arent a guarantee :mad: We had missed a days work etc to go to it. Like above poster says, please be careful and arrive very early!!
It does say clearly that the ticket does not guarentee entry which is why we booked two night hotel - so we could get there early enough! but my email said that their equipment would take up 20% of seating. They must of known that before!! Anyway to avoid disapointment just becareful and great if you do get to go!

the waiting list for Top Gear tickets is actually a LOT more than 1-2 years now- it's estimated at around 12 years! (Just imagine how old Jeremy will be by then!)
Still there's always the Top Gear Live show!
Tickets aren't free, but they are more than worth the money (hence they always sell out pretty quickly)
Then again, i am just a teensy weensy bit biased0 -

This years it's in the new Theatre which is a really small venue last year it was the millenium centre and we got there an hour and a half before time and were still in a massive queue0 -
At 7.20pm this evening I got an email cancelling my tickets for tomorrow's Hammersmith show. As a previous poster mentioned they say it is because their equipment takes up so much space they have less capacity for audience - I would imagine they could have worked that out a little sooner than less than 24 hours before the show!
I have previously been turned away from an Applause Store screening for a kids tv show, on that occasion they didn't let in anyone with their tickets, said that the show was unexpectedly full and nobody could come in.
Great if you get in but always a risk it won't work out so be very wary re any travel or hotel arrangements you can't change.0 -

I have just seen the same email
It is really bad letting people down at such short notice.0 -
It seems like BGT are booking smaller venues so maybe thats why theres a problem with audience capacity bit of a bummer as it puts you off botherng booking tickets next time, i enjoyed most of the experience last year the only bit i didn't like was the fact that they only gave you about 5 minutes for a break so you didn'nt even get a proper toilet break a lot of people get hacked off and leave after an hour or so becuase it's a lot of waiting around.0

I have tickets for today, but after reading the above comments, I am going to send an email and cancel them now. I have flu but still wanted to go, but the thought of hanging around for hours, maybe not even getting in and not being allowed to go to the loo when I want sounds awful!Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience.........!!!:rotfl::T0
