not sure if it's sneaky, and whether it is technically saving, but i tend to leave it a year before buying the albumns I really really want. I just got 4 albumns I had my eye on for £12 from amazon. chuffed to bits, as I was able to use spotify/last.fm until I bought them.

I have started to use my old sun protection as hand cream and the after sun lotion as body lotion. Great to way de-clutter the bathroom as well!
have found after sun with aloa vera (brand I used looks like green jelly!) is good shaving gel when I'm trying to shave my legs in a hurry - moisturises too.
  • Wow! Great thread. x x

My sneaky saving tip: If you use washing liquid save a few of the plastic balls containers that come with liquid (you put your liquid in them and pop them in the machine with the liquid in.) You can then put a few of the balls in the washing machine and the agitation they create helps clean the clothes so you can wash the clothes on a lot lower temp.

check out toiletry prices on outward part of plane trip then compare with airport prices before flying home as those on the plane are sometimes cheaper than airport :)

Hi Rosemary, I have a funny story about this....I always do a large perfume/aftershave shop @ Gatwick airport for myself, family and friends.

Anyway Oh is incharge of cigs and tobacco. No he was not going to buy at Gatwick, no he was not going to buy in resort or airport on return but would be buying on the return plane. The return plane should have been Thomas cook but was swapped at the last minute for a cheep flight plane (by them). The cabin staff said we were lucky to get the food/dinners aboard but no shopping carts were loaded. So Oh sulked in his seat for the whole journey, minus any tobacco/ciggs.

Small money saving. I went to the dentist today. I found a lucky penny on the steps and then a 2p so put the 3p in my bag. Then had to pay the dentist £45.60

I have been saving any coins I have found in a little pot. This year to date it amounts to just short of £3. I must be looking in the wrong places.
