Sneaky ways to save the pennies

ilooked in my purse today and was puzzled that there wasn't a £10 note in there.
Sat down and had a think about yesterday....and phoned the last shop I was in.
They checked yesterday's banking - and my £12 change that I managed to walk out without !!!!! is now in the safe awaiting my collection!
Red face here - but perhaps in the past I would have assumed I'd made a mistake!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

How can it be greedy to use coupons you have?
If I have £60 worth of coupon and £60 worth of shopping, and the shop was willing to take the coupons as payment I would be silly not to use the coupons
As far as I can see, the only greedy ones are Tesco who were accepting coupons for items not bought.0 -

why are Tesco being greedy for not accepting them? you havent bought the product that is on the coupon, then why should you recieve the money off?
The main reason it was bought about, was because people were printing off coupons and taking the !!!!!!.
I work at Tesco, our store introduced a policy, where we could take a maximum of 5 coupons (of products that had not been purchased) and then as many as the customer had for Tesco coupons ( which must be purchased ) If they had kept on accepting the coupons and not recieving the money back, how do you think they would have got their money back...and then there would be posts about "how expensive Tesco is getting"Kent Bird!:beer:0 -
I sell books on Amazon and have long been puzzled about the prices some people ask for books, way over the cost of new book.today was an all time high of £898 for a book I sold for £16!Anyone any idea why this is done?
(I know its not strictly a money saving thing !!!)0 -
