Sounds like the Co-op is one of the better supermarkets for whoopsies--several people have mentioned them over on the Grocery thread.Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

My local co-op is amazing for meat, vegetables and fruit reduced to really low prices - trouble is there is no way of knowing when the bargains will be there, but I usually take an extra tenner so I can take advantage of reduced salmon, chicken etc. Plus the salad can be good.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

That's probably because the rest of the time they are so over priced that nothing gets sold!
Ours has little in the way of whoopsies but is hideously expensive and often very poor quality.Piglet

We don't regularly shop in Co-Op but when we are up in the Islands there isn't much else! Yes, they are a bit more expensive - there's no denying it, but they are definitely generous on the reductions front - we usually get the bulk of our shopping in once a week, but pop in when we;re passing to pick up salad etc to add to the nights dinner.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I didn't realise so many people swapped there smartprice/supermarket own brands in to the branded boxes etc etc. I also do this smart price jaffa cakes are half the price and taste exactly the same, as do tea bags, sugar from Aldi, cheapy biscuits, jellies etc etc.
Trying to think what else i do to save a bit of cash - only use one tablet instead of the recommended two tablets in my washing machine. Mix the cats wet food with some cheapy cat biscuits so less Whiskers cat food is actually used! (i get smart price tuna the cats get whiskers hhhmmmmmm!) :0
When my girls were in nappies i used cheapy asda own in the day and pampers at night so this saved a bomb. Have stopped buying baby wipes now too to clean hands and faces (both out nappies now), use a good old flannel and water instead.
Use olive oil to clean by black fire inset, brings it up lovely.

I would have to agree with this. We have a small co-op just over the road from us and they have great reductions on various things, you just have to keep popping in to find the best ones!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Also ment to add that if you are lucky enough to know an employee of the coop (*ahem*) then in november/december they have double discount days for staff members and the otehr card holder btu they are not strict on who the card holder is or if the card can be given to various people.
I have 2 old cards and 2 new cards. I have the employee one (obviously) my mother in law has the other new card. My mother has an old card and so does my grandmother. So they all get discount and it helps their bills. I have asked my manager if this is ok and he said yes fine although some places ask for the 'employee details' - ie name and branch but obviously my family members know this anyway. Very handy with the food bill and christmas shopping.
Also ment to add incase many people dont know that they do a dividend scheme too which gets you money back twice a year in the form of cheques or vouchers like tesco do which can be redeemed on items or you can cash them in too.
Wow back on topic quickly for this thread --- they are very good for reductions and i normally come home with about 3 bags fo rolls, 2 loafs and various fruit and veg for about 80p! The rule is ment to be that final reductions (ie down to 10p an item) is done approximately 6pm - our coop is on this rule so we have people following us as we reduce but i tend to get my items as they are being wasted so whatevers left i get pick of. :TTime to find me again0 -
I bought a couple of those liquid soap dispensers that dispense the soap as foam, so that I could use them for my own nefarious ends: when they were finally empty I filled them up with my own choice of liquid soap. The soap has to be mixed with water until it is about the consistency of milk (or it will be too thick to turn into foam), which means that you only have to use a small amount of soap to make a full bottle of foamer.
A bottle of liquid soap (hand soap, shower gel, etc) will easily last at least 4 times as long as it normally would, and feels much better than thick sticky soap. I now have Lynx shower gel-foam in one bottle, and a moisturising soap-foam in another bottle.
A jumbo bottle of value shower/bath soap (around 30p in Tesco) used in this way would last a loooooooooooong time.GC March Wk1 £28.72/£30 Wk2 £28.4/£29
