If your family go through fruit and veg very quickly , go to the store at around 7pm , you will find loads on offer that should be eaten in the next two days
My bargain
My mate stayed and LOVED pomagranites , in Asdas it was 1 pound 71 pence for ONE the next day we went up there at 8pm and got 3 for 33p each!

Unless I'm writing a letter which *has* to be presented on decent paper, if I need to print something out, I use the back of a piece of paper that's already been used once. (NB my printer's quite forgiving, not all of them will accept second-hand paper).
If the paper's got too creased for this, I tear an A4 sheet in four and use it for shopping lists etc.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I also use paper that has already been used on one side when I can. I use up old envelopes by cutting them into smaller pieces and put them by the side of the phone in a little basket, saves buying those message blocks that can be quite expensive.Books - the original virtual reality.

I've started doing this too. I am a teacher, so you can imagine the numbers of old worksheets etc I have... I used to throw them all away, but now money is tight I print things for myself on the back, or use for shopping lists. :ASave £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.810 -

Getting a impant, IUD or a cycle supressing contraceptive pill taking could save you anything from £35-£54 a year.
I have an implant which over the course i shouldn't have to buy any more towels, liners, painkillers, new pants and extra laundry cost's when the inevitable happened whilst turning over in my sleep (tmi sorry)
The only thing needed now is a few washable panty liners. My dp even says i'm more bearable and less stressy and i have only had it a few months!
I'm not sure that I'd want to fiddle about with my body just to save a few pounds, but has anyone tried the Mooncup? It's expensive to buy, between 15.00 - 20.00, but will last for years, and is really comfortable.
Just a suggestion0 -

Its a very reliable form of contraception, money saving is just a by product.
If you think about all the missed pills and split condoms i hear so frequently about it's more money saving than you think.
Have tried mooncup, was good initially...until i lost it down the loo...but then i'm one of those women who find periods an inconvenience and quite supised i have not killed myself by TSS with my lax memory.0 -

Better still, if you have a market, go when they are packing up. They don't want to take their soft fruit away and will give you loads for not much.
Last weekend DH and DD went down and came back with 8-9lb of strawberries for £2.50 and 4lb of plums for £1.80! We had strawberries for dessert two nights running and we also have strawberry jam, about 4lb of strawbs in the freezer, strawberry cordial for the DD and bottled plums (plus some plums in the fruit bowl to eat).0 -
