When I emptied a spray bottle of some household cleaner, I refilled it with water and a few drops of washing-up liquid. I use this to do the general everyday cleaning. It's good with a microfiber cloth for cleaning glass. I use it on all sorts of kitchen and living room surfaces, just to remove toddler fingerprints and that sort of thing.

I have some star drops that I rarely use. Maybe I'll make a spray bottle of that solution.

I got caught trying to pull a fast one over DH :rotfl: On the whole he's pretty good at the whole OS/MS stuff and I've even managed to get him off Listerine mouthwash....but he's really fussy about handwash and only wants to use Carex.

Soooo I added a bottle of value handwash to my Tesco shop and thought I'd pour it into the Carex bottle and see if he noticed....trouble is it was shown as being blue on the website but they've delivered me a peach coloured soap so I've had to fess up to what I was trying to do :rotfl:

I have seen essential oils in my local chemist. They are with the homoeopathic stuff and bach flower remedies. Basically they will be with all the natural stuff. I dont think all chemists sell them though. This one is a Lloyds I think.

Not hade time to real all 60 odd pages lol , but here are a few of my tips (Sorry if they have be mentioned , this should be a sticky!)

Shampoo , add a little bit of water and you can get two more washes out of it!
Smart price tomatoes , carrots ,sweetcorn ect taste the same as any other.
when i see my branded products , like adidas woman anti persprant spay (usually over two quid) if i see it for a pound (which is often) i stock up at least 3 which lasts me a month there about..
I mix asdas own dried food with whiskers wet food , and purina dried food , bulks it out and the cats have no clue why..
I buy printer paper at the pound shop ,
*cringe* i asdas own night time towels and use on offer towels throughout the day (sanatery towels)
    I use value flannels
We eat a lot of fruit so we get it on offer..
We feed excess fruit and veg thats due to go off to the ratties.
We look out for cheap nescafe , if its in a cheap shop but foreign we check the sell buy date and can get a LARGE jar for half the price.

There are a few little things there

I know and he does get a choice - we have a "try the cheap one once rule" and if it's horrible or ineffective we go up a brand. Oh, other than beer, I'm not buying cheap beer and I'm with him on that one!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Getting a impant, IUD or a cycle supressing contraceptive pill taking could save you anything from £35-£54 a year.

I have an implant which over the course i shouldn't have to buy any more towels, liners, painkillers, new pants and extra laundry cost's when the inevitable happened whilst turning over in my sleep (tmi sorry)

The only thing needed now is a few washable panty liners. My dp even says i'm more bearable and less stressy and i have only had it a few months!

I find if it says "Value" or "Basic" on it then he seems to immediately judge it (except when it's veg, tinned or otherwise). But if I get it from Aldi or Lidl so it doesn't say that - then it's gone down with much less struggle ;)

So Aldi 59p bubble bath, handwash, dishwasher tablets and anti bacterial spray - all quietly accepted :D

I was going to add something similar myself, but glad someone else bought up the subject!:p

I have a Mirena IUD. It lasts for 5 years, and since I had it put in (4 years ago) I have not had to buy any sanitary towels. Your body still goes through the usual cycle but you don't bleed. It is not exaggerating to say that it has changed my life (no further details required!) as well as saving loads of money.
