  • Thought I would make my first post about the looming wedding! Im getting married on the 22nd August at around 3pm. It is going to be an Alice in wonderland themed wedding :D

I am making everything for the wedding, the dress, the decorations (already done 80+ paper lanterns, but lots of other stuff left to do), the wedding favours (30 cupcake shaped candles), the name settings for the meal (fimo cakes), the invites r.s.v.p and direction cards and lots more i cant think of right now! My friend is making the cake, well 80 fairy cakes, which is saving us around £400!
Our parents are paying for the meal and buffet (£600 all together) so in total we have at the very most £500 to pay then around £200 for our honeymoon which is a weekend in glasgow!

mirror - have you found your shoes yet?

I haven't really done much this week but am having another dress try on on wednesday.

Went to a party last night and someone brought in a gorgeous bouquet from Tesco finest that would be perfect with a bit of ribbon some thistles and some extra greenery from the garden.

It was deep pink gerbera, roses and lilies.

There were also some beautiful ones in asda for about £15 when I nipped in there last week.

 nope no shoes yet and ive been through all my wedding boxes again yesterday, also cleared out the cupboard under the stairs (fount a couple of bottles of wine though:D ) i have got the spare room to sort through and re arrange today and if i dont find them then im gonna start panicking and not before :rotfl:

the boquest sounds lovely, have you been to dunelm and had a look at thier artificial ones, they have some great colours in and crystal and ribbons and stuff.

thats where i have got mmost of my flower bits from, i know real look great but isuffer and my top bridesmaid suffer with hayfever quite bad too so thought rather than risk it, although in the churchthe ladies are doing two lovely great big stands with my fave flowers all white ones lillies and roses etc and only costing me thirty pound.

    good luck with the dress

Fingers crossed for the great shoe hunt!
Can you work back from where you saw them last and retrace your steps?

OH (i'm so glad he's showing an interest) has put his foot down about artificial flowers and i'd prefer them too having had artificial ones last time. I grew out of my hayfever and as I wear contact lenses it protects my eyes as well - I can even peel onions with no problems!

I'm a bit worried about my dress as if it doesn't look quite right now will be in a panic :rotfl:

:rotfl: should of seen me trying contact lenses recentl, it takes me about half hour to get them in and by that point my eyes are red and runny and then at the end of the evveing about an hour to get them out, and last time i just slept in them cause i got bored trying.:rotfl:

whats the matter with your dress:confused:

I wouldn't be without my contacts now - it used to take me half an hour to get them in and then another hour to take them out at first but they are so much easier than glasses.
Stick with it. It now takes about a minute to out them in and less than that to take them out and have added bonus of being able to disgust family members with poking about in my eyes :rotfl:

There is absolutely nothing wrong with my dress it's just me being my usual unconfident self!
There was nothing wrong with my dress the other night in my dream either it was the furry legging things (think persian cat legs) I had decided to wear with it :o.

Have also had a dream about a squirrel coming down the chimney and attacking me - think I need help :rotfl:
