Ooh I am really enjoying this thread, just can't imagine me actually being able to achieve all that you do though. I must must must get a handle on my GB but I just don't seem to be able to, trouble is I think DH and I feel we don't "need" to as he is well enough paid but I hate feeling I am being wasteful after all he works hard and away from home a lot to get the salary he does so I feel it is my duty to all of us to make it go as far as possible and hopefully see a bit more of him LOL. When he went back to Uni and I was earning a pittance I supported both of us and managed really well on a small GB but I seem to have lost the knack lately. I am really finding this thread inspring though so I am going to try and sort myself out. I just worked out my average to feed 3 of us per day and it is rather a lot more than £1.29 or whatever it was. I feel some OAMC plans being dusted off.
Thanks for the kick up the butt0 -

Hi Poodlehorse, what's OAMC?
Is it "Once a month cooking"? I have just been reading an american book about that called "Frozen assets" and am trying to get to grips with bulk cooking as I am sure it would save money and time and energy ultimately.
I am really enjoying this thread Weezl and have printed off the recipes to try, dh is now taking packed lunches into work and that is saving loads of pennies, and his waistline;)Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Weezl, thankyou so much for that, v interesting! I've had a good look through, will have another look later too - in my head I was thinking 'we've already got those, and that, so I just need to get...' :rotfl:OH won't go for the lack of fresh veg and juice etc but I'm sure I could use some of it to cut back further so thanks again :T Just off to find out what Natco is...
Thanks Catznine for the OAMC explanation - seems obvious now you've told me!:D How are you BTW, hope all's well?
Right, Natco is Asian food store, based in Buckingham right, so I'm assuming you shop online Weezl? Off to check out more, been looking for a place to bulk buy pulses etc :T Hmm, the delivery costs look a bit steep...is there a store I don't know about or something? The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
