where are ya atm hun?
You sound more clearer about what you want to do. which is good. but make sure you get the best support you can, you deserve it.
I'm in Poland at the moment. Had a few bad days recently, I think the first few days of a low are the worst, after that you just sort of get used to it. Plus I've got a reason to be happy at the moment heheBut don't tell anyone, its a secret!

think im in a sh*t load of trouble with dh.
on hols straight after bank holiday so booked with skool to make sure it was ok for ds to have time off in term time cos shouldnt take hols ,blah blah.
so told them when he went back last sept, and they said ok cos sats week would be 2 weeks later.
if you go on hols sats week you have to pay them £50:eek: cos its classed as unauthorised.
so have got slip and all great.
on friday ds said one of eachers said he would be in trouble cos he was gonna miss his sats cos they were on the week of our hols:mad: ...so i said id sort it cos he was upset and getting stressed.
so big gob, here:(:( foned skool to check and they said sats deffo in our hols week and we would have to pay the dosh.if only i had engaged my brain before putting my mouth in gear they wouldnt have realised.
in my defence, i told them how long it had been booked, that we had the permission in writing and, how they cant give us a weeks notice when they have known since last sept, giving them ample time to refuse.
also the sats are important but they are not proper exams and ds would miss them anyway if he was poorly and couldnt attend.when kids miss the sats, they take the teacher assessment so its better anyway cos they know him better and some kids are great in class and carp at tests.
mentioned to dh when he foned and he said they can **** and hes going in if they try to charge us...
feel really carp now cos its al my fault and i was only trying to do my blo*dy best but messed up again:mad:
why am i so stupid:mad: why cant i keep my big gob shut:mad:
skools ringing back later to see what they can do.shes trying to have a word with a jobsworth.
god i hate waiting.......now i know what its like on death row....and i dont smoke.......maybe ill start
somedays i wish my mother had stayed a virgin, im sooo upset and i cant blame anyone cos it was me.
Hi ilgd
hows that charlie doing? my little one is out in the garden showing the birds whose boss :rotfl:
hun, you aint stupid, little mad maybe but not stupid
you only want the best for your ds right? and you wanted to book a holiday for you all which is such a lovely gesture.
I think im bit like your son, i did sats and all they made me feel was that i was gonna fail the real thing coz i not good at exams, as today proved, i dont understand the need for tests, dont know why we cant be marked on the work we do, instead of tests, horrible things.
Dont start smoking hun, filthy habit lol :rotfl:tho i have been thinking of starting myself recently but thats another story
Nothing can be done bout the past tho, all you can do is see and what the skool says, and if need be, ya ds can skip the sats, not something i would normally say, but i think a holiday would be beneficial to your son, more than sats
Take care

Hi guys!:hello:
I'm hoping we're all safe and sound?
Good luck to everyone with appointments, meetings, treatments, assessments, exams, counselling and tests and also to those of us who are struggling atm and those with poorly loved ones.
It's a slow journey I know, one step at a time, but for what it's worth my angels, today will soon enough become yesterday and then last week and so on. Ask yourselves how much of what you're suffering now, will still be as important in your life in a month or so or in a year. Have you been through worse times than where you are now? What can you do t get through this time? Post all you want if it helps. I know that the people here are stronger than they think - real survivors. I'd be the last one to preach as you know I would hope, but I just want to let you all know that I do care in my own tiffy way. It's a privilege to have come across such wonderful survivors, so you hang in there guys!
Much Love,

Hi sf!:hello:
Are you feeling any better hunnie? I just read your post and you're reaching out for help - well done sweetheart!sf wrote:I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately, I've had so much work on. But I need someone to talk to. My arms are a mess, and I've binged and purged 3 times this morning already.
You know you can always post here sweetie - someone always passes through here sooner or later.
Okay, let's see what other practical help there is around sf.
Firstly hun, the first thing to do is make yourself safe, so make sure your wounds are clean and dressed. Put away all the temptations for sh and as ilgd says, grab a cardie (me too ilgd!), or a duvet, and snuggle on the couch with the TV on. This can be a good distraction technique and being wrapped in something soft will feel like you are being hugged, make you feel a bit safer.
Please also consider calling your gp, or NHS Direct, angel - or visiting their website. I've listed the details below. They do provide crisis mental health services.
NHS Direct

Also, for people with eating disorders - male and female - and their families, this is an established charity. I will say to everyone, I'm not a professional and don't endorse anything, so use your own sound judgement.

This charity will give you free crisis cards and plan templates so that you can plan ahead for what you want to do if you have a future crisis. It seems like a good idea, especially as when we're in crisis, because we find it hard to make decisions and it's reassuring to know that you can just get your card out to remind yourself of what to do next.

The other point that occurs to me hun, is that you sound like you're under too much stress at work right now and that can be an obvious trigger. Please consider taking some time off work sick. If you ask your gp, I'm sure they'd put something 'regular' down on your sick note as being the cause. This will give you time to back up and regroup angel. And no matter what you say hunnie, they will somehow manage without you! You're a lovely soul and deserve all the help and support you can get. I hope this has helped a little sf - I'm thinking of you. Be kind to yourself angel.
Much Love,

Hi gilly!:hello:
How are you hunnie? You're another one I've been fretting over during the last couple of days. For as much ribbing as I give you hun, I hope you know I do care.
gilly wrote:I'm at work but am so tired I just want to shut my eyes. I'm getting a tiredness headache too.
I now have a dilemma to go with all my other stresses.
I have a mock exam on Wednesday (NEBOSH H&S) and now i find out I have to be in an hour early tomorrow. So I will get home tonite at 7:30. I have to be up at 5am tomorrow. Back home at 7:30 and then up again at 6am to go to the exam.
I have SO much time to revise in that schedule. I have homework to be done by then too!!!
If I curled up under my desk would anyone notice?
I hope you are all coping and even happy. Hugs and handshakes to you allxxxx
What happened to QB?
I know you suffer with bad headaches angel - any point in going back to the gp? Stress is bound to make them worse. Let's see here hunnie...
The first thing is that you are only human (and badgie!) hun. You can only pull yourself in so many directions at one time. You're an intelligent man, gilly and I suspect a rampant over-achiever. Now in no way am I dismissing what you're going through, but I remember your last set of exams and it was similar then too.
So right now, it has to be a damage limitation exercise angel. I know it'll go against the grain with you, but is there any way you could call in sick to work tomorrow? It will buy you some breathing space and some sleep time too. Imho, the ideal would be homework tonight, soak your bristles in the bath, have something filling to eat and get to bed early. In the morning, call in sick. Section your day into revision and rest and make sure you look after yourself properly. Wednesday comes and you do the exam and spend the rest of the day recovering ready for going back to work on Thursday. this could help you regain a little control over the snowball.
Of course it's important, but it is a mock exam and not the end of everything, if you don't do as well as usual. So you might want to be a little kinder to yourself and remember that this is not the final exam. Does that thinking take any pressure off you angel? Also, if you know when the final exams are, book off the two days before as holiday to prevent a repeat situation.
And I get a deeper sense of sadness from you gilly hun. It sounds like this job and the commute are sapping the life out of you. Not in any way easy, but I guess it must have crossed your mind to move your sett, or change jobs when that right opportunity comes along. You can work yourself into the ground hunnie, but you also have to consider the quality of your life and it doesn't sound as if you're getting very much of that right now. Sometimes the hamster, (or the badgie!), has to get off the wheel for a while.
I hope you're not upset with me for my Tiffy thoughts, gilly. You work so hard and I just want you to be in prime condition for your romancing season.I know my thoughts aren't going to help your imediate situation as I'm pretty certain you won't call in sick tomorrow. I just want you to know that we do care and that your health is so precious. We believe in you gilly-badgie!
And you'd better believe I'd notice if you curled up under your desk sweetie...
Where do you think I take my catnaps between 2 and 3pm?!
Look after yourself hunnie.
Much Love,
