Hi there Keiss21, I feed my 2 boys on HM yoghurt and they now love it. I substituted the natural yog with greek yoghurt as it`s alot more creamier and less sour than natural yog, then flavour with what every fruit is at hand and also a bit of honey for sweetness. Also started making ice-cream so use it in that aswell.Grocery Challenge 2013: July week 1 £90/£87.41

Hi,
Rice is now in the bin. Quite annoyed with him cos I could have used that rice. Oh well, as old saying goes "if you want something done, do it yourself":p .
Onion lorne, is sliced square sausage.

Am continuing to be good and avoiding the shops.
Cooked salmon from the freezer last night, with puy lentils and veg. Was a bit disappointed - the marinade didn't seem to have any effect.
Never mind.
Just off to check out the freezer for tonights dinner. I have got a little veg left so should be able to delay the milk and veg shop to the weekend with some luck. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Hi all
Got in a bit of muddle for March and didnt keep track of spending but I think I came under budget.
Alpril Im in for £150 or under. Have stocked up storecupboard and toilet rolls etc just need to buy meat from butcher. Im finding it a bit difficult to stock up for month so may just shop every two weeks for foodstuff and buy bulk toilet rolls and anything else on offer.

Oooops - Weezl beat me to it (might've known!!) - soz.0 -
the recipie was posted yesterday sarah, here it issavingfortravel wrote: »Hi Weezl
Of course I'm happy to share!!!
Recipe for Glamorgan sausages:
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 medium onion, finely chopped
6oz (175g) Cheddar cheese, grated
10oz (300g) fresh breadcrumbs
3 eggs beaten
Fresh breadcrumbs for coating
Salt and Pepper
2 tablespoons of olive oil for frying
Optional: pinch of dried sage/ pinch of mustard powder
Method:
1. Mix together the onion, cheese, breadcrumbs, most of egg, salt and pepper (if desired: pinch of dried sage/mustard powder). Divide the mixture into 12 pieces and roll each portion into a small sausage shape.
2. Place breadcrumbs on large plate. Coat each sausage shape with remaining egg and then press on coating of crumbs.
3. Heat about an inch of oil in a large saucepan (I don't use that much). Fry sausages for 5-7 minutes, turning quickly, until golden. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot (or cold)
Can cook from frozen.

Hi
This is my first grocery challenge. Am hoping to cut our spend by $100 this first month, usually spend $100 per week  .
So far this month only bought milk and bread a spend of $2.05, eating all my freezer and cupboard stock, have a habit of buying 'just in case' and not eating it!
best wishes
