Day 1 for me and so far ive spent;
Lidl - £11.20, Aldi - £12.27. The freezer and stock cupboard are fairly full so it should just be f&v and animal food for remaining weeks. Not sure on the milk front as yet as that get delivered. I also do SW so am looking at some of your recipes and adapting so them conform.
I cannot remember who it was that posted but I do recall them saying about SW quiches. If you read this, could you please let me have the recipe.
Thanks to all for your ideas, help and encouragement.MFI3 T3 # 750 -

Cheers for the suggestion sweetie. :T I've just gone  and looked it up. I think the reason my doc has never suggested it is that it can cause your periods to go a bit doolally )
Plus I have weirdo migraines occasionally and I see that's another thing I read that they have to be careful of. I'll ask her about it though cos it also said that some people's periods stop and that would be pretty cool. i wouldn't miss 'em!
Love Jacks xxx
What about the 12 weekly injection, usually calms periods down or even disappears them.

Hi everyone :hello:
I just had my MrT delivery. It came to £82.06. £21.84 was for toiletries! (shouldn't need any for a few months now) £11.42 nappies/wipes/calpol and only £46.32 was actual groceries. I'm really chuffed that the grocery part was so lowand my store cupboard and baking cupboard are really full now. I bought some lentils and oats to use in mince aswell :shhh: (already do the grated carrot malarky) - we'll see if OH notices
.
Well, I've planned the meals for the next week but I need to make a 4 week mealplan for the rest of the month and restock the freezer next week with all the meat/fish that I need. I think if I do it this way then I shouldn't need to spend much for the rest of the month hopefully.
Hope everyone else is doing well
Nikki

PS Jacks I suffer from migraines but didn't get any more than normal while I had the implant in and I was told by the clinic that most people's periods stopped completely (I had spotting:o ) I think it's worth a go (speak to your GP first though obviously), you can always get it removed at any time if it doesn't suit you
PPS I bought a muffin tray today - anyone got any good recipes?:A0 -
I need to update my spends, but wanted to ask whilst the subject of broccoli was about - I bought some stilton to make broccoli and stilton soup. My question is do you cook the broccoli until it is really soft (and therefore looses its bright green colour) ??????0

Hi everyone
Did some number crunching at the weekend and it gave me the kick up the proverbial that I needed so sticking to my GC this month is an absolute must, could even do with reducing it further but one step at a time. Sticking so far to my meal plan, tonights sausage caserole was tasty and the remainder of the sauce is in the fridge to be blitzed for pasta tomorrow, Spent £4ish in farmfoods yesterday - frozen peppers, mushrooms, peas, leeks, usually buy fresh but needed them and couldn't be bothered going to asda with DD and DS - larger area to run riot in and display completely outragious behaviour. Spent £4 in Aldi today - flour, apples, tinned pineapple for S&S recipe, and sesame seeds for MrsM breadsticks, will have a few other items to buy before the end of the week but nothing pricey. Will spend a bit more away on holiday next week but have still meal planned for this. Was thinking of buying dried milk for making things like lasagne - does anyone else do this? DS and DD drink milk, eat loads of yog, cheese etc and have porridge made with milk so no concerns re lack of calcium, but would it cook okay?
Also looking for a really basic tried and tested recipe for scones?:T
Will update sign when I've totalled
thanks
X

Okay, have spent £70.45 so far, £12.65 has been for emergency drinks whilst we have been out and about, because I had not got myself organised by filling up bottles with orange juice cordial  . Will have to 'pay' for that for the rest of the month.
My meals are basically covered for the next 8/9 days, except for bread, milk and a few veggies no doubt, so hopefully I can get to a sort of recovery position.0 -
Evening all
Not been on for a few days so had loads of catching up to do. Me and DH have particularly enjoyed reading the contraception advice!! Him having the snip was in his own words "The best thing he ever did"!!!! :j The sex education lady comes to DH school each week with fresh supplies! How many do you want?!!:rotfl:
Not spent any money on groceries for a few days but expecting a delivery from MrT tom evening which we are looking forward to. Expecting it to be around £70 but I will have to go to the butchers for the meat some time this week.
Good luck everyone.
