i think I am going to fail
big shopping at start of month but have been frittering away because of the school holiday.
having a spending diary is scary...you can see where it all goes:o
I waste so much money:eek:
Am I cheating by only including shopping and not all spending?
I dont include things like lunch out
maybe next month I will be honest with myself
I just wanted to make a start on getting it all under control.
Its up to you. But if its food-I count is onto my grocery shop.
Unless you have a part of the budget you set for days out, entertainments etc. However-you would be eating at home if not eating out-which is why I add mine. Not cheating-you just have a different way od doing it.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
I got my Asda order tonight and included on that were some rather cheap "naughties". Strawberry whip at 3p per packet. Instant custard at 8p per packet. So when I cook OS I can cheat a little on the desets. Got my shop, delivered for about £60 so Im hopping that this week is a "cheap " week.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

Asda here is around 7.30 at night but don't know about morrisons, thanks xx I so miss Iceland that closed down always went there for the oatsosimple, shreddies, frozen chicken and WW meals at £1 everywhere else sells the WW meals at £1.39...or 2 for £2.50
Oh I meant to ask... I have absolutely loads of tins in the cupboard that keep being put back because I don't know what to do with them, I have pinto beans, red lentil beans, kidney beans, chick peas, borlotti beans, aduki all sorts of tins of beans other than using the kidney beans for chilli, the chick peas for paella or with rice what do I do with all the rest?0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
I`ve just updated my sig with todays spends.
Dh did the supermarket run this week and spent £20.89 which means that we have hardly anything left to spend for week 4
I forgot to add eggs and red lentils to the list too so i`ll have to see how we go. It looks like i`ll have to put back the £15 that i borrowed from the GC budget in week 1 which i was hoping i wouldn`t have to do but perhaps i was a bit too hopefull by knocking off a tenner from this months target and then borrowing from the pot as well.:D
I`ve been hovering around the kitchen doing lots of cooking and baking so hopefully we won`t struggle too much.
It`s nice to see everyone doing so well and a huge thanks to everyone posting recipies on here as they have saved us tons of money.
Catch up later
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

There`s a lovely recipe on here somewhere for bean burgers where all the beans are mashed up. I can`t seem to find it at the moment though sorry.

MMMM! Had some bananas in the fruit bowl all black so I have banana bread in the BM but I added chopped almonds and dried apricots that I had laying about - it smells delish!!
Spent £9.14 in the farm shop today - it wasn't planned but I was going to get half the stuff tomorrow - only bought pots, bit of salad, bananas and a gammon steak for DH. Oh well, will update sig now0
