"Sculpting" is still going on:
Gas estimate dated 12/02/09 - 3175 kwh - split 1979 high - 1196 low
actual dated 24/02/09 - 3056 kwh - split 2609 high - 447 low

I first heard the term "price sculpting" tonight from an npower CSA.
Martin - can you let Watchdog know the !!!!!!!'s are still doing it.

Joking aside, there's potentially a huge amount of money at stake here so anything could happen. I was lurking on here when MSE was mysteriously crashed prior to Martin publishing his how to reclaim PPI instructions. If npower aren't actively monitoring this thread then I'm a banana...

There is nothing actually wrong with 'sculpting' or seasonally adjusted weighting. The amount of units at the high rate for each month are now shown on npowers web site. It only becomes a problem if it causes more than 4572kWh to be charged for over a year.

As you have a a bill with readings can you post further details of it please.

Start date/end date. Meter readings and price for your high/low units. I suspect it is probably correct, but worth checking.

My thoughts too 1carminestocky. I wonder if any other threads are experiencing the same thing. If so that could point to an attack. I am not techie but would have thought an attack would have to crash the whole site. Is it possible just to crash a thread? Maybe it is just a glich in the MSE system and each visit is counting a 100 intead of 1. I don't care how popular this thread is there is no way it is receiving around 3000 hits in 12 hours and only reciving 9 posts, most of which are mine wondering why we are getting so many hits and no posts lol.
