Tesco wrong prices thread part 3 - please post your finds here

How is it distasteful? What IS distasteful is when a huge company like tesco, with so many customers everyday, misprices items and therefore overcharges loads of people to what amounts to an absolute fortune.
Also, don't forget that it is tescos own policy to refund mispriced items and let the customer keep the item - they advertise this fact and use it to promote their store.
They make a huge profit from their customers, and we don't complain. Why shouldn't people do the same?
I haven't tried this myself, but i don't have a problem with people who do!Debt free date: October 2006 :money:0 -
tesco can be fined £2000 for each item incorectly priced.
this way, the customer is doing the work of checking it for them ( when the File Maintinence Dept fails to do its job )
so giving the item away for free is a small price to pay when you match it against the £2000 for each item.
They just need to change the Shelf edge label and any P.O.S ( point of sale) thats with it ASAP to stop it happening.
Its one thing the FMC manager was forever being pulled up over, as they are accountable for it.0 -
once again, I have to ask you all to please keep on topic! The previous two threads went off topic considerably, although I asked people to just keep to posting the 'finds' and not to discuss the policy in general. There are threads in Discussion Time where the policy and it's rights and wrongs can be discussed, this Grabbit thread isn't the place for it for the reasons I stated previously.
If the thread continues off topic (or veers off topic again) it will either be closed or moved, and continuous off topic posts will be reported to Abcon for deletion.
I have asked you all, nicely, countless times so please guys, can we do it this time?
Thanks0 -
ok back on topic
beef joints (the one with the basting fat) priced at 5.98kg flashed on packet , but the price ticket on the packet that works out the overall price says 5.99kg - and no we did not get any.....
(not going o/t was down the nappy aisle getting nappies that made me notice monitor as have 2 wee ones) - I always check the yellow promo tickets0 -
I dont know about anyone else but I keep seeing loads of errors on cheese and bacon but I dont want to get them in case customer service get to know me!!
Lots of mis priced Gammon in Milton KeynesAuntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0 -
My local Tescos had three laptops with the price of £468 actually on the box. I tried scanning it at the price check point but nothing came up. I'm not sure how you'd work getting it free anyway since you actually have to buy it from the customer service desk in my store. For the price though I thought it was a very well specced lappy.
The 2kg gammon joints had both a correct and an incorrect price ticket out, correct one was closer though. 500g packs of bacon are STILL mispriced after about 10 days. Bush digibox had the correct price:(.0 -
Healthy eating chicken breasts (600-750g-ish packs), loads of cheeses and pork steaks priced wrongly at Chorley store (still!!!!).
Got some pork for tea, and the manager offered me 78p refund, which he though would be "about the difference" between the two prices. I pointed out the policy, and he laughed and said he didn't know about it. Mm.

Hi I've been watching this thread for mis priced items for a while now but never seem to find anything locally. Can some one please advise, if the price on the shelf is cheaper than the price on the packaging ie Chicken portions, is it the shelf price that you should be charged? Can't they argue that the price on the actual meat/cheese per kg is the correct price? Or is it whichever is the cheapest?Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0
