Still O2. You get 10free SMS a day.0
-
I thought it was 10 a month?0
-
for UK sms CBFSMS is the best site, allowing unlimited SMS sending - BUUUT there is sometimes long waiting times during peak hours like when school has just finished etc.0
-
Seems to be peak hours almost all the time these days.. I downloaded a countdown timer in the end so I didn't keep missing that brief moment when you can actually send something!0

lol GOOD IDEA! and the O2 site is 10 a month, have u guys been on
http://www.excite.co.uk
you get 3 sms a day, I don't think I've seen this site mentioned
and also yesMMS where you get a lot of messages per month (i think 500/month) but you can only send one message per day to every number if you see what I mean.
The smsBUG gave me 10 free credits to fool about with - and its sucha great idea - I LOVE IT0 -
Come on people - wake up and smell the coffee!
Free SMS sending sites don't offer the service because they love you.
Ever wonder how companies who send SPAM SMS, or plague you with sales calls "You have qualified for a free holiday in Florida", get your number?
It's because your mate sent you an SMS via one of these free sites. If the message is sent without error, the company sending the message now have what they call a "Fully qualified number" to rent or sell.
Anybody sending me an SMS via a free site is going to get a punch on the nose......0 -
cbfsms funds their sms by adverts i test the websites on my own phone b4 using them to send to my mates (cos im nice that way you see
) and i havent had those premium text things yet (god please dont let it start now) CBFSMS tell you on their terms and conditions how they fund the texts, and im pretty sure they are legit
Excite is im sure a legit website too, just like o2, they just want people to use their sites more lol
BUT woody is rite about some websites ie yacky smsac who charged their users £1.50 per sms (this was in the the T&C btw) but thats no reason to distrust all websites
O2, excite and CBFSMS i deffo recommend(but cbfsms has long waits sometimes
..)

Yes, before they try and sue me, I am sure that some of the big boys are reliable.
If you have a Vodafone (and use Outlook), a really efficient service can be found here: http://www.vodafone.co.uk/textcentre
It's free until 31/12 (it's what we in the business call "Demand Activation" - hooking you in so that you find a product more traumatic to lose - than to start paying for).0 -
http://www.sms.ac/HomePage/Default.aspx
Free text messages to any mobile in the World on the above link. You have to register but you do get eight free texts a day.0 -
sms.ac is not as good a deal as it looks.
1) they will try and send you "Mobile Alerts" to your mobile, and you will be charged by your phone company to receive them. So if you use sms.ac, you need to login to your sms.ac account and switch off mobile alerts.
2) You only get 5 free sms messages a day for 30 days. After 30 days, they probably start charging.
Apart from those 2 issues, yes, you can send international text messages or UK ones for free, but only for 30 days.0
