2GB laptop memory (PC/Mac) for £22 delivered, and other memory bargains

play.com memory £16.99 free delivery that is cheap. i have a ei system laptop/notebook ,crucial says medion mid2020,memory ddr pc2700. can someone tell me what is best memory for my system, where to get it, ie: play.com, etc.

Except you aren't comparing like for like, andrewman is asking for laptop memory, your link is for desktop memory, it won't fit in a laptop.

hi, I have a Desktop Dell Dimension L9331, whichutill I read this thread, had no idea it was only running on 128Mb of RAM! The maximum seems to be 2x256Mb (2 slots) or 512Mb. I have used the Crucial Memory Advisor Tool

and it says I need SDRAM PC133. Manual also says need to be DIMM.

Crucial wanted to charge me £27 per 256MB. Looked around and there is this on Play.com for just £16 per 256Mb http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3274837/Kingston-KVR133X64C3-256-Valueram-Computer-Memory-256MB-PC133-SD-RAM-32x8-168-Pin-Dimm/Product.html This seems to be the right spec and I have heard kingston are a good make. The only problem is it says 'valueRAM' - is this any good?

I bought a Kingston 2Gb 'valueRAM' module for my IMAC from Play a couple of months ago for around £22. Seems absolutely fine. Replaced a 1Gb stick that I purchased from Crucial for £55 that I had only got around to installing a few weeks prior. Doh!

I bought the value Ram for both mine and my daughter's laptops and they are both running great. No problems at all.
