Same here for me. I had to sell some to pay off an unexpected bill and found the only way you could stipulate which bond numbers to sell was via a form by post. Online it goes for the earliest first. So I lost my ones brought on my birth. Still like you they had never won anything. And I still have the paper bonds as a keepsake!
You are able to cash in specific bonds online, I did it myself this morning and a few times previous, usually receive payment into my bank within three days. I’ve kept the £25 bond which I’ve had since 1985, for sentimentality as it has never won

That’s a relatively recent innovation - you always used to have to post the form. I would always check to see if there had been a change before sending off, as my oldest bonds were bought with an inheritance and are sentimental. Perhaps they modernised at around the time they planned to phase out warrants.

I'm having a terrible run, got a full holding and in the last 3 draws I have had the following returns.

    June 2025  £0
    May 2025  £25
    April 2025 £50
It's just my opinion and not advice.
