Premium Bond Winner ?

Well here's some good news, my mother won £5150 this month 1 x £5000 win 1 x £100 win and 1 x £50 win! just when I thought about pulling mine out lol, not sure I will now...my father also won £150 and they both have £50k each invested

I should add I won 1 x £100 full holding and my wife won £25 full holding, dissapointing again

Well, if I won a million I certainly wouldn't be going public with it, encouraging every fraudster and scrounger to my door for miles around.   I'd quietly bank it, be generous to my favourite charities and to those who genuinely need financial help.and try to keep the knowledge to myself.

Rubbish, £1m isnt that much in these times, tell me why do people come out when they win £100m on the Euros but never £1m on Premium Bonds??

I think it would be easier to ‘get away’ with winning £1m than a larger sum. If one of us did, then I’d bring forward my retirement date a bit and offspring would get more of a leg up on the housing ladder.  However as those are things people would already be expecting us to do at some point, and nobody knows our current finances in any detail, we could plausibly be funding it all from existing investments, pension pots and inheritance.

Dont get me wrong its a nice amount to win, and having no mortgage it would mean I could live the rest of my life in real comfort , but its not real 'life changing' for most people with an average house..

I had a rather surprising shock this month with 2 bond wins. One at £10,000 & the other at £50. I still can' quite believe it & at first I thought it was a £1k win instead of £10k. This is on a holding of around £45k.
