I have held my max holding of Premium Bond for over a year and this is my best win to date:
    3 x £100 & 1 x £25 = £325

    Very happy with that.

I have won £1300 in total this month, I reinvest but have now broken through the £50k threshold. Does anybody know what date the residual amount will be paid into my nominated bank account? Also I notice I have an account setup with the last 4 digits as 4808 but that is not account I hold, my wife has the same, i think this must be some default NS&I account? However it is misleading/confusing?
I had this numerous times when I had the direct saver as a nominated account. You will get it paid by the 8th. If you already have a nominated external account available in the drop down list, you can change it right now and still make the payment cut off time without having to call them. Get on to it ASAP.
So I assume it is OK to leave as is and will go to my direct saver account, even though the account number is different!!!
NOOOOO. You need to change it to your nominated external account today or you will be in a world of pain with NS&I customer service.Trust me from my own experience, you'll be on the phone in a queue for hours and then they won't understand what you are telling them. Sort it now or you will regret it. If you change the nominated account to direct saver you may find that it resets to that NS&I strange account again overnight (there's a software bug they won't address) so I wouldn't risk it. There was another person on here who chased and chased and waited months to get it paid back to them when it went to that strange NS&I account, and that was when they answered the phones quickly.
@swipe to confirm, if the nominated account shows as being National Savings and Investments ****4808, that is wrong? I selected my direct saver in the application, and it switched to this, so I got it changed back to direct saver and the direct saver account number. I then noticed a few days ago it had switched back, so I raised a complaint with NS&I CS. The lady was adamant it was supposed to be ****4808, but reluctantly logged it. I’m waiting to hear back.

If this is a software bug they aren’t addressing, I think the best way to get them to address it is if everyone affected by the issue makes a formal complaint - surely they’ll notice they are getting loads of complaints about the same issue, and then resolve it

Nothing this year on just under £8k holding. In 20 months (minimum £5k holding) I've won £100 total, which puts me on the unlucky side.

I find it interesting to look at some of the more unusual stats in draws. Did notice yesterday that a £5k win last month was re-invested and that winning won another £5k this month - from an original holding of around £9k.  How lucky is that? :)

@ForumUser7Yep, it's a bug and has been on going for many months now. The NS&I lady couldn't understand what I was trying to explain when I called a while back and when she finally did, she wasn't interested in passing the info on. In the end, I just set my nominated account back to my HSBC current account. I hope the person a few pages ago takes heed of my advice or their owed money will be sitting unpaid for months. The ****4808 is used for reinvestment into bonds but the flaw is when you have maxed out at £50K. It was confirmed by another user on this thread that if you fail to change it back to the direct saver in time and you have maxed out your holding, you will not get paid. The problem is, you have NS&I customer service staff who don't understand their own product and system processes enough.

Thanks for this @Swipe - I thought it was very odd, because the nominated accounts menu gives me two separate distinct options: My own direct saver, and the 4808 one. I called up just now, and explained that 4808 was for reinvestment in bonds - which mine is not set to. They said that it is expected behaviour for when you have a Direct Saver set as the account, but couldn't explain why it had reverted by itself. For my own piece of mind, I have now changed my nominated account to a current account with another provider - I wanted it to be the direct saver so I could see any prizes paid in easier, but the possibility of not being paid any prizes makes it not worth the convenience.

That's exactly, the way I see it. Any PB winnings I can add back to my direct saver with my debit card the same day, so no interest lost.
