The "random" number generator may or may not prefer newer (or higher) premium bond numbers, it also may or may not prefer lower numbers. It is quite possible that the odds of a high number popping out vary depending on ambient temperature, humidity, the electricity coming out of the national grid (it changes voltage and frequency) or even sun spots.

Well that 'totally random' machine does not appear to like Bedfordshire very much - only one higher prize winner from that area, perhaps I should move - that's probably one higher than some areas I suppose.0

and seven prizes in Harrow of all places.0

I used to live near there - perhaps it is just me they are avoiding!0

The smaller value prizes are now available for May. Click on the link below and input your holders number to check if you've won:

Thanks Kazza. We won £250 this month 3 x 50 and 1 x 100. Still not managed to get a prize above £100. It'll soon be June!0

Nothing for me, I'd like to get above £50!0

4 x £50 this month. Whoot!0

And to give some balance, nothing for me this month again, despite maximum holding.
A VERY poor return.
I'm cashing in.
Fun if you have loads of cash left over and are a top rate payer, but I need to put the money elsewhere.0 -
Yep I'm taking mine out too, it's better to have a block of bonds, not spread out as I have. Statistical evaluation makes sure that the prizes are random so really it's better to have a consecutive block of them instead of dotted around. Bye bye premium bonds.0
