Some context on my 3 x £25 winnings this month (January 2022):
- £25 winning from a £200 batch of numbers purchased in 1998 (total winnings for that batch stands at £75 // 3 prizes);
- £25 winning from a £2,900 batch of numbers purchased in 2016 (total winnings for that batch stands at £250 // 9 prizes);
- £25 winning from a £500 batch of numbers purchased in 2018 (total winnings for that batch stands at £25 // 1 prize).
December 2021 winnings:- £500 winning from a £2,000 batch of numbers purchased in 1999 (total winnings for that batch stands at £1,150 // 17 prizes);
- £100 winning from a £5,400 batch of numbers purchased in 2015 (total winnings for that batch stands at £650 // 23 prizes);
- £25 winning from the same £5,400 batch of numbers mentioned above.

My mum wins £25 almost every year, even twice sometimes.
I’ve never won so much as a sausage 🙈

aroominyork said:I have a question. Why does anyone want to tell anyone else what happened on a random draw like PBs, or care what anyone else won or didn't win?
I expect I will be reported for this sacrilegious thought.
This thread plays to some hugely powerful underlying.themes for human beings.
We want to find meaning around us, to the point of applying that to the randomness of PBs.
We also like to believe we are 'lucky.'
I've only recently been in a position to invest decent sums in PBs, and the ritual of checking the prize checker, and the competition between me and my wife, has assumed more significance than I ever expected it to.
Of course that is helped by the fact I am one of the lucky ones...2 -
For me, at the moment, PBs are just a bit of fun each month. I also play a bit of bingo, and for the friends and family I play with it's the camaraderie that makes it what it is."Same old faces!"

Pretty much bang on target. From next month both my wife and I will have the max holding (unfortunately not for very long as we have much of it earmarked for an extension) and with "average luck" we would have three £25 prizes between us each month. Nothing this month (January) on £20k held since July 2021. That said, I’ve had above average luck (5.6% return to date) as past six draws have been:
Jan 22 - £0
Dec 21 - £1000
Nov 21 - £25 x 2
Oct 21 - £25
Sep 21 - £0
Aug 21 - £25 x 2
I fully expect that to bottom out as time goes on…3 -
£150 on full holding for January - 6 x £25

Following the euphoria of 7 x £25 last month, it's feet firmly back on the ground with £25 this month.
