    It was for me. No chance of losing my cash by transferring to the wrong account. Bought £50K and it was in my PB account immediately as I recall
    Edit: Just to add, the DC gets around any daily transfer limits your bank may set

    Is the best* way to buy PBs to use a debit card?

    * Easiest, fastest, safest?

    Ok to buy £40k in one go?
    That depends on the bank, I have done 20k on a card in the past I think. Once you go past 20k some banks don't like it.

    It would be Santander.  Issues?
    How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

    My wife bought £50k worth earlier this year on her Santander debit card with no issues.

    Good to know, thanks.

    We've done 2x£20k into our ISAs before with no problem, but never all in one transaction.

    £25 for me this month and the wife won £125 (5x£125), both on full holdings. She has had a good start as only had them for 3 draws and won £75, £50 and now £125
  • £25 on £10k holdings

    Can anyone point me in the right direction please to work out the rate of return - I'm thinking some sort of XIRR formula but I'm out of practice!

    Easy enough to work out in your head or with a calculator. If you work on a 12 month period, on your holding of £10k, if you win £100 in that period your rate of return is 1%. If your only win is that £25 in that period your rate of return is 0.25%
