Premium Bond Winner ?

Well, actually the original point of the thread was to analyse whether newer bonds win more prizes, and the OP has gone awol so that point appears to be redundant? If it's now a thread to say, "I won this amount this month." and people like reading that, then I fail to see the point of it but I would hate to be a killjoy.Swipe said:
Judging by the amount of posts each month it's hardly redundant, at least not for me. I enjoy reading through and seeing how much posters have won on their holdings compared to mine.lozzy1965 said:... or should I stop perpetuating this apparently redundant thread?
I got the jackpot this month BTW

My Premium Bonds win was deposited in my nominated account today - 11th.
Normal timing. Sixth working day.0 -
I now have 200 blocks of premium bonds and have £23025 invested. I just wondered how many blocks do other people have and how many times have you won on £100 ones or lower? I have won 4 times so far and had mine since 20170

I know this debate goes on and on, but I just don’t get it. A supercomputer selects random numbers from many millions of individual bond numbers. Any blocks are broken down into individual bonds before the draw is made.concorde1966 said:I now have 200 blocks of premium bonds and have £23025 invested. Luck is luck however it is broken down. You might as well ask how many wins did someone have while they were wearing a red shirt.4 -
I have 3 blocks, 200, 100 & 49700 perhaps unsurprisingly most of my wins come from the largest block. I have however had at least 3 x 25 wins from the other blocks. But I don't really make a point of checking which block the win came from as it doesn't add any valueMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0 -
Except it's not a supercomputer selecting from individual bond numbers, it's a bank of random number generators generating random numbers from the whole set of possible bond numbers, past, present, and future. Then a computer records wins for the valid bonds matching one of those generated numbers.RG2015 said:

Ok thanks. Whatever it is, the point is that every bond has the same chance of winning.Eco_Miser said:

Not exactly as the program won’t be completely randomRG2015 said:

If, as stated, they are sampling from a physical process, it will be random.
