Would those that are lucky enough for their prizes to be announced today, be told prior to it being published that they'd won?Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Noticed there was a £5k win in Kent on a £50k holding with a £7k bond value bought in Mar-15. Living in Kent with a £50k holding and a £7k block bought in 2015 I got excited, unfortunately I bought mine in Aug-15.

I think only the £1m prize winners are told in person prior to publication. AFAIK all other "big prize" winners only find out when the results are published, which is usually the day before the full prize list goes onto the prize checker app.annabanana82 said:Would those that are lucky enough for their prizes to be announced today, be told prior to it being published that they'd won?0 -
No big prizes for me (as expected!) so let's wait until tomorrow to see if I got lucky with any smaller prizes.
Btw, are bond numbers ever re-used when sold and allocated to a new account?0 -
No, never re-used.josh33 said:Btw, are bond numbers ever re-used when sold and allocated to a new account?

My brother's latest bonds bought last month began 442, so it'll be a while until they hit 999 - maybe in 50 years!pbcpdeveloper said:

A lot sooner than that.josh33 said:

I bought some numbered 400... in June last year and my most recent purchase in April was 452...
That suggests the three-digit numbers are currently being used up at a rate of about 60 per year, so we will roll over to four digits some time around 2030.
In fact if 442 was sold in April and so were my 452 numbered bonds, the rate of sale must be rising even more rapidly, to get through 10 number blocks in a single month.0
