The limit to the number of bonds an individual can own has increased over the years,  it started off at £10k per person in 1957, and has risen to £50k now so that obviously speeds up the rate of bond number allocations significantly.

And hence the fact, from https://nsandi-corporate.com/media-resources/premium-bonds-factsheet, that:
over 95% of those currently held have been purchase since 2000
Perhaps also worth noting that this figure was published two years ago, since when the number of bonds has increased by about a third....

The total prize pool in March was £86,905,650 (increase of £1,800,100 or 2.12% on February)
The total prize pool in April was £88,215,800 (increase of £1,310,150 or 1.51%)
The total prize pool in May was £89,792,075 (increase of £1,576,275 or 1.79%)

So assuming the prize pool in a given month is 1%/12 = 0.0833% of the total value of bonds that suggests the number of eligible bonds increased from about 105,860,000,000 in April to 107,750,000,000, a rise of £1.89 billion in a single month.

I won £25 from a £25 block again. I have 195 blocks and have £23,050 invested. In the last six months I have won £650 one of those prizes was £500 in Feb.
In the years I’ve had my bonds I normally win around £175 a year. I have two blocks of around £6,000, one £500, and the rest of it is mainly £25’s. I have won a few times now from the £25 blocks.
How many blocks does everyone else have and do you win from the smaller blocks?
