Congratulations! I've got my fingers crossed that mine will do well. I've had them about 3 years and won £50 a couple of times. They're the childrens savings really - while the interst rates are low it seemed worth it.Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever - Mahatma Gandhi0

Mine are in for one last month. I had £1700 holding which has been growing steadily for several years now. Last month I added a further £1000 (Uni Fees which I don't need to pay just yet) so I thought I might as well put the money into PBs for the Christmas draw
If I fail to win anything then I will be cashing them all in, not just the £1000 to pay my fees.
Hope I have a bit of your luck next month.
Well done :beer:0 -

I have £1500 worth of premium bonds, the majority bought last year.
So far I have won £50 (October 05 - the first draw they were eligible for), £50 (October 06) and £100 (November 06).
I appreciate this is not the norm on this amount of bonds and I'll probably win nothing else for years, but at the moment I'm quite happy!
Wow, impressive rate of return! You going to keep them for longer or cash them in while you're ahead?0 -
Do premium bonds create their own positive publicity?
Would s_d_w have mentioned her PB holding if she hadn't won?
Would my dentist's wife have gone to the Sunday Telegraph three weeks ago to tell her story if she hadn't won?0 -
I thought this was going to be about another big £100,000 win like a few months ago.
SO *you're* the reason I got nowt in November!
See - I didn't start a thread on my abject lack of luck, did I, proving reportinvestor's point.
Bonds are OK. A bit of fun but not a real investment, if you ask me.0 -
Sell,sell,sell
The chances are you may not win again for a long, long time.:rotfl:0 -
In answer to several posters:
No, I would not have posted if I hadn't won, and
Yes, I am going to keep my bonds, I am prepared to forgo the interest for the chance of winning a lot of money.
I don't do the lottery or gamble in any other way.
Thanks for sharing my glee with me!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

I'm starting to get the feeling you don't like Premium Bonds, ReportInvestor0

At least with Premium Bonds your original stake is safe, not like the lottery. If you don't need the money, I'd stick with the bonds. They are easily cashed aren't they?0
