I bought my first PB's of £3000 in Dec 2018. I then won £25 in Feb 19, £25 in June 19 and £75 in Oct 19.Up to then I thought these premium Bonds are great!
Since then nothing.
My wife bought £3000 at the same time and has never won anything..
As interest rates have become stupidly low we've decided to up our PB's. £23K and £33K respectively, Lets see if this makes a difference.0 -

I've held large amounts similar to your newly increased totals for a number of years now and have received winnings equivalent to between 1 and 1.5% every year (average of around 1.2%), but bear in mind the prize fund has been between 1.15 and 1.50% during that time though (1.40% for the last 3 years), so this will undoubtedly drop with the big reduction in the prize fund rate to 1%. I'm thinking around 0.8% would be realistic, as big holders with average luck will often get just under the advertised prize fund rate.
December's draw has actually just taken place as I write this - only £25 this month for me.0 -
3x £25 wins on £50k for December.

After 2 months dry, 2x £25 this month on £50K.0

1 x £25 for me this month on £50k0

I've been really lucky, 2 x £25 on my £50k for December. So, for the year (I've held £50k for most of the year or just under that amount) I've won £925 so 1.85%. I have to say though, since my prizes go into my current account, it does feel different from interest (of course I know it's not the same), because it's merged with my account rather then getting it in a lump sum.
According to MSE:
"You are lucky - only 2.65% of people who have put £50,000 in premium bonds over 1 year win more than £925".
Average luck would be £450 so certainly have been lucky!
I feel like I should have used that money on something worthwhile?! Not sure what but I try to be a bit of a money saver leading me to perhaps not treat myself enough! One month when I got over £100 I bought a random person from a facebook group a month's subscription to a stationary box club to celebrate! Having said this, I do have to buy 3 years worth of my state pension soon, so, there goes a not insignificant sum of money0 -
£125 (5x£25) on full holding
Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
Nothing for me for the second time in four months on £50k0
