  • It's my 11th month of full holding so will be interesting to see what the next two draws hold for me. Currently at £550, I've only had £25 prizes so would be nice for a slightly larger one at some point....
    Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

    Make £2024 in 2024...

With £500 in premium bonds the most likely outcome over a 12 month period is in fact to win nothing (78.3%). So if you have already won multiple £25 "prizes" in 11 months then you have been incredibly lucky (2.9% chance to win £50 over a 12 month period)!

    Good luck everyone!
I think you need to re-read the PP!
OP has "full holiding", ie £50k, and has won £550 over 11 months, by my reading! Which is pretty much smack on par.

No win for me again this month
Holding of £15,500 since Dec 2019. Been in 9 draws now and only won £50 in total.
Terrible luck, decided to move £5.5k to the Income Bond (at least get some interests!) and leave £10k in Premium Bonds...

I opened an 2 accounts of £3000 about a year ago. (one in my name, one in my wife’s)
I don’t rate them at all but just wanted see what happens as there isn’t much else out there that gives a good return anyway.
I won 3 X £25 in the first 6 months. My wife has still none nothing.

i have a friend who swears by premium bonds. She has 6 accounts maxed out and it is her only investment. She loves telling me she is winning all the time. She has never worked out what her return on her £300,000 actually is over a year.

Opened my account in May, and have £50,000 invested.
    July: £0
    August: 2 x £25
If I account for the lost month (June) when money was invested but not qualifying for the draw, not doing great so far (£50 over 3 months, or about 0.4% interest annually)!

Was only £25 for July, nothing June, nice to see a better August with £125 on £50k.
